usdart
Are they working on our Claims or not? With all the giberish on the News, I can't tell. Why can't people use simple language short and simple answers that are not PC..I hate Political Correctness ( you couldn't tell right?).
free_spirit_etc
From what I have read, they are working on claims. Actually, there are several threads here on hadit where people are discussing the very same topic that gives a lot more information about it. Try this one: Edited October 11, 2013 by free_spirit_etc
63SIERRA
just talked to my claim VSO at waco, and they are not working claims there.
free_spirit_etc
Even if the RO is open, it doesn't necessarily mean they are working on your specific claim. I don't see a week or two delay to make a huge difference in the big picture. Maybe I am missing something. My husband's initial claim went all the way to the BVA. The BVA remanded because they said they didn't see a copy of the DD214 in the file. So my husband had to wait another year for the RO to put that in the file AGAIN and send it back to the BVA. So I just don't see a week or two making a huge difference in how quickly the VA processes claims. They can take a long time, even when they are open for business. HadIt.com Elder Philip Rogers Posted October 11, 2013 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted October 11, 2013 They received my latest claim, on 9/30/2013 and I received my 38 USC 5103 Notice today, from my RO, in White River Jct, VT. So I would say someone is doing something. My new claim is for an increase and an "s" award. pr
Shyne-I
63SIERRA, My claim is also at the Waco RO. I posted either Tuesday or Wednesday that the Waco RO was not processing claims. I have a family friend that works there and he was furloughed Tuesday morning. I thought they would keep processing claims and not appeals, but when I spoke with the TVC service rep in Waco on yesterday, she told me that no one was working on any claims in Waco. I guess they have already ran out of money down there!! Shyne-I
infantry10
My RO is Huntington WV. I haven't heard anybody say if they are still working or not. All this political mumbo jumbo is starting to get old.
