Decision & Claims File Dispatch - 13 Feb 14...nothing Recieved As Of 18 Mar 14

Looked at EBENEFITS and it states that a decision on my appeal was made on 13 Feb 14. Talked to a number of reps at the the 1-800-827-1000 number and was told the same. The last person I talked to said they could see a narrative was completed on 12 Feb 14. Could not tell me what it was but said I would be "happy"....assuming that this means favorable. Below is pasted directly from EBENEFITS....

• Current Progress Description: Your case has been received at BVA, and BVA has mailed your decision to you (and your representative, if any) and will be returning your claims file to the VA Medical Center. Please note that transit times vary, and there may be some lag time between when BVA forwards your claims file to its appropriate location and when that location receives it.

Any idea on why I have not received a notification yet?

Brown envelope received, 100% disability rating confirmed, T&P. Rating will go back to 1 Nov 09 when I retired, increased from 90%. No movement on the retropay yet. I have seen everything from the retropay being paid the same time as the decision to a couple of months. Houston VA is hard to figure out. Will standby for the deposit....the heavy lifting is done.

Mine just went to the same thing. I am hoping it is not denied. I mean I am being medically permanently retired from Army for PTSD and my appeal is for PTSD. Seeing the Va Medical Center worries me though.

Good news.....Monthly disability pay was changed from 90% to 100%....

Bad news.....Retropay not received yet...

All in all I am happy because I know that there are a whole hell of a lot more vets out there in worse shape than I and who have been waiting a helluva lot longer.

Movement? Received a CRPD Credit from DFAS Cleveland RETSPCL for $915…should I assume that this means that DFAS has completed their audit? Whats next?

Talked to DFAS and they told me the audit was complete and it should go out to the VA between the 19 & 21st of this month...Hopefully the VA will quick turn so I can get my retropay soon....
