Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Vync Posted September 26, 2014 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Share Posted September 26, 2014 Geez, and this is just at the Baltimore VARO... What We Found A team of benefits inspectors dispatched to the Baltimore VARO from June 21 to 27, 2014, substantiated the conditions reported. We determined a supervisor had inappropriately stockpiled about 8,000 documents in an office. HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted September 28, 2014 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted September 28, 2014 Back in the 90's the VA allowed RO's to take files home with them and work from their home. Needless to say not much got done using that method. Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
georgiapapa
We are still only looking at the tip of the iceberg. The current problems of the VAROs and VAMCs are not a few isolated incidents. The problems are systemic. The VA needs a massive overhaul. Even if they could magically eliminate the backlog tomorrow, claims would be backlogged again in a few years because the problems that created the backlog will still exist and no real solutions are being implemented to address the problems.
