Problems Secondary To Ptsd

Question

Is it possible for me to file claims for problems associated with PTSD like psychosis, stomach problems, memory problems and headaches? I also noticed that the doctor had written rule out schizophrenia. If they diagnose me with that should I apply for that as well?

I also have severe sleep apnea but was told by the VBA rep that if I had no proof of diagnosis while in service that I would be wasting my time. I wanted to see if that was possible once my appeal is finally done I have more to apply a claim about (knee, ankle).

I figure that if I apply for it all at once it would be easier. Right now I am gathering information for my knee and ankle since the VA won't do an MRI, I have to foot the bill. My ankle has already been fixed so all I need is the medical records, but the knee is still damaged. I figure if I do all of the leg work for the other stuff it might go faster.

some laws change this next year, issues at BVA level the BVA can over ride( sorta speak) a decision that RO makes final win or lose

and I think if I understand the VA Has to start rating a claim to the highest Evaluation when there two evaluations in to one rating.

and some changes in procedure with TDIU??

I have not read the specs on this yet Ms Beta would know or John999 & some others

SA is not S/C to PTSD. SA is a completely separate rating. Now there is a sleeping disorder called Alpha-Delta Sleep disorder.

Sleep Apnea is a very hard claim to prove. You need to have a prior SA link while on AD to include SMR's, Sleep Test, issues of sleep issues - and then you need a SA study test currently diagnosing you with SA and have it linked to your AD service.

My BF had a very hard time with SA - he has an NOD in right now.

We are also filing a new claim under PTSD with secondary issues related to the Alpha-Delta Sleep Disorder and hope that under 38 CFR 4.20 Analogous Rating

Alpha-Delta Sleep Disorder is associated to Chronic Pain

With the right evidence, SA can be a secondary SC'd condition tPTSD.

Without the right evidence - ANY issue can be very hard to prove or get SC granted for.

The part above that I quoted in red would be real nice to have but is NOT A MUST for

getting SA granted as SC'd.

The statement in red is not an absolute truth.
