Wife Denied On Everything...

Question

My wife was recently denied for every medical issue she applied for... She was enlisted in the Air Force for 4 years and then completed 2 years of Reserves. Her medical paper stack was thicker than mine and the VA sent us a letter stating that they could not make a single connection for anything. One issue that stands out in my mind is that she actually just went through foot surgery for a running injury she received in the Reserves. All paperwork documented.

We went through a guy downtown DC who put together her package for her. He seemed very knowledgeable. What do we do now? I mean, I got denied for my bad knees even though I had went through physical therapy in active duty, but this seems like a big old slap in the face...

You need to file a NOD (Notice of Disagreement ) file it ASAP. (green card sign return receipt)

then basically your wife needs to get Independent Medical Opinion or IME Independent medical examination be examined by a specialist on her most severe disability. and notarized statements from family and friends stating what they witness as to her disability.

VA is getting picky about veterans ''not'' sending in the correct forms they use that as an excuse to be denied.

The VA obviously for some reason did not read the medical reports or didn't believe the Dr.

Just make sure you send in any evidence and make copies.

This may turn out big in your wife's favor if VA CUE'd themselves by not using your wife's evidence. to rate her claim.

Is your wife SC for any of these conditions?

As stated above post the reasons and bases of her denial. (block out SS number and Name)

I know you guys are pissed and I don't blame ya one bit but this happens to a lot of us, we just keep on there ass until they do what's right!

Hang in there

I also served AD AF, was injured and nearly killed with morphine on another occasion etc, also did Reserve time and my claim was promptly closed in March 2015 after 4 months. Never got to C&P either. VARO kept saying, no medical evidence. Have DAV and Congressman involved. Managed to get CD of med. records from current base which only covers 04-present and got disc from Archive which only provided clerical type documents. Natl. archives doesn't have anything, sent me to VA archive in 2014.

Have had to fall back on family/friends to complete VA form 21-4138 to back up the missing AD medical records and subsequent dependent medical records from 86-03. I am finding that female Veterans seem to have a harder time claiming mainly because our records are not stored under our SSN after we separate. They go under the sponsor which causes a mess when we try to file.
