Warrior
Thank u so much everyone ! We are still in shock ! Just did a big trip to the grocery store . Nice to be able to stock up like we used to! I think he was around 93% before the apnea went through . We still have a couple of things that should be able to get rating increased so we will submit them so they can be on the back burner in case they try to drop any of his ratings he already has . Guest
Warrior, Since your husband is 100% combined service connected, VA should have granted him CH 35 and CHAMPVA. Look for a VA form 21-8760 in his rating packet that explains more benefits to you and your children if you have any. You can still file new claims but it is not likely that VA would try to reduce his claims. Filing for increases for already service connected conditions/disabilities is like opening a can of worms. You never know what will crawl out. Filing new claims not secondary to any other condition should be fine but just make sure he stay in treatment for his service connected conditions http://www.vba.va.gov/pubs/forms/VBA-21-8760-ARE.pdf
