I've Seen my C&P Notes

Question

I logged into my healthy vet and viewed my C&P write-ups this evening.  I first read the doctor opinions and he agreed with every secondary I claimed.  I am not sure how my other secondaries will turn out, but I'm posting the rating section of the Peripheral Neuropathy C&P below.  I believe I see  a moderate rating for both hands and feet.

I'm not sure what the actual ratings will translate to (percentages that is)

  a. Does the Veteran have an upper extremity diabetic peripheral neuropathy?

       [X] Yes   [ ] No

If yes, indicate nerve affected, severity and side affected:

          Radial nerve (musculospiral nerve

            Right: [X] Normal   [ ] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

            Left: [X] Normal   [ ] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

          Median nerve

            Right: [ ] Normal   [X] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

If Incomplete paralysis is checked, indicate severity:

                   [ ] Mild   [X] Moderate   [ ] Severe

            Left: [ ] Normal   [X] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

If Incomplete paralysis is checked, indicate severity:

                   [ ] Mild   [X] Moderate   [ ] Severe

          Ulnar nerve

            Right: [ ] Normal   [X] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

If Incomplete paralysis is checked, indicate severity:

                   [ ] Mild   [X] Moderate   [ ] Severe

            Left: [ ] Normal   [X] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

If Incomplete paralysis is checked, indicate severity:

                   [ ] Mild   [X] Moderate   [ ] Severe

    b. Does the Veteran have a lower extremity diabetic peripheral neuropathy?

       [X] Yes   [ ] No

If yes, indicate nerve affected, severity and side affected:

          Sciatic nerve

            Right: [ ] Normal   [X] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

If Incomplete paralysis is checked, indicate severity:

                   [ ] Mild          [X] Moderate          [ ] Moderately Severe

[ ] Severe, with marked muscular atrophy

            Left: [ ] Normal   [X] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

If Incomplete paralysis is checked, indicate severity:

                   [ ] Mild          [X] Moderate          [ ] Moderately Severe

[ ] Severe, with marked muscular atrophy

          Femoral nerve (anterior crural)

            Right: [X] Normal   [ ] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

            Left: [X] Normal   [ ] Incomplete paralysis   [ ] Complete paralysis

Now it's the Raters turn, you should get Bi-Lateral Factor Award.

Your going for 2ndary SC's right? Your currently at 60% SC, another 50 to 64% SC would get you to 80% SC and quite possibly an "Inferred IU Claim." If your fracked up enough, maybe even an Extra-Schedulur IU Award.

The way I did the math was hands/feet 30, 20, 20, 20 which equates to a bilateral of 70% added to my current 60% would give me 88%, and take me to 90%

Or, given there are two nerve groups impacting my hands and wrists, they may use the Lower Radicular Group 8515 which would rate me at hands/feet 40,30,20,20 and a bilateral of 80% and a total rating of 92%.  I don't know the criteria however of when they choose to use a Radicular Group rather than a single nerve group, but as I said, I have two groups impacted.

I have other conditions that will be rated as well.
