100% P&T Help with VA dental in Washington State

I am also 100 P&T. I went to the VA Hospital in Loma Linda, and since they were so backup with appointments they sent me out to find a Dentist. All they said was to make sure the Dentist Office was in their network, and that was it. Now, I get seen by a very good Dentist of my choice. They VA has come through with every suggestion the Dentist has made concerning my Dental needs, and they have paid 100% of my care. Thank you VA......

Choice told me they will not do dental.. So I just drove the 2 hours to the American lake VA Dental clinic. They are only 2 months out for apts. With the option of emergency visits via first come first serve. Also some lady from the Seattle VA said they were out of funds to do any kind of out sourcing.

The other aspect of this has to do with how the government manages (mismanages?) money. It's a long and complex

scheme that involves lots of time consuming administrative actions, and the "colors" of money.

Traditionally, the VA has treated dental as an un-necessary evil, and has concentrated on the least expensive

treatments. For example, pulling teeth and providing false teeth is cheaper than the necessary dental work to restore damaged teeth,

and providing the follow up care.
