In Memory of Ted Cremeans who passed on March 15, 2016, who died from complications from heart surgery.

He served in the Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal.

I attended his funeral on Sunday.  He was given a 3 gun salute by the local VFW.  They had VFW member who played "Taps" at his funeral with the bagpipes.

The flag was presented to his widow, Teresa Cremeans.

Mr. Cremeans was my daughter's father in law.

Like most Veterans, he was humble.  When I had asked him about his service, he responded that he had no choice because of the draft.

I should have reminded him that, indeed, he had a choice.  It is said that Bill Clinton, for example, dodged the draft.

Broncovet,
Sorry to hear about your buddy. He was a hero for serving our country. It is definitely more honorable to serve than to dodge.
