The cola was effective as of today but it will not show up in our checks until Jan 1 , 07, but you will see the exrta from this month on it.

Actually, since 1/1/07 is a holiday and 12/30/06 is a Saturday, we should receive the first increased payment, Friday, 12/29/06.

The increase, although technically as of Dec 1 is payable the following month. So the Jan check will only reflect one month's increase, not two. Don't be expecting two months of additional money on Jan 1.

$ 81.00 is a better increase than some. 2 years ago it was really crap.
