Does anyone know how long it takes to get a response from the National Personnel Records Center?  I requested morning reports from my unit in Vietnam referencing a firefight during mini-TET in May 1968 (if any exist).  I sent the request along with a check on 20 April 2016.  The check cleared the bank about two weeks ago but haven't received anything from them.

I am not sure for your request. I requested my military records from them and it took a total of five months for me to get them. Hope this helps. Bill

Thanks Bill, I guess I'll look for them around September. I doubt if anything is there anyway.

Hey depending on your request it take three to six months.  I have some reports from Tan San Nhut AB 1968 TET.  Also have some after actions reports for the Corps.  Be willing to share if it is helpful

Thanks Bobby but I was on the other side of town during TET.  I requested specific unit morning reports for the May 68 offensive.

I got mine in 6 months,from NRPC St Louis & one of the clerks doing my record search called me and ask me what all I needed unit morning reports an STR'S and some other records that I have no Idea what they mean.

I just made copies and sent them in.

If you have a CIB then that's enough for proving stressors.

I don't have a CIB Buck.  I'll just wait and see if they find anything.  Do you remember what the total cost was?  I just made the check for the minimum amount and will pay the rest if and when they find any records.
