Appeal is at BVA and with my rep at the BVA

Question

My  2014 appeal is at the BVA and is with my DAV rep at the BVA.  I have a 2015 docket number.  my question is: does this mean my appeal is getting close to being assigned to a judge? I know the appeal was looked at by DAV when it was with the local VA office so why would it need to be looked at again by the DAV ?

Probably not? What type of Hearing did you request? Hearings are conducted by VA Lawyers, after which they forward the Hearing results and their Legal recommendations to a Sr VA Judge for an actual Decision.

Sax, put an eyeball on the BVA Decisions for 2016 & 2017. How's your Docket Number stack up against the other 15- Docket numbers referenced on the  16 & 17 Decisions?  Remands are not uncommon.

Thanks for the info, I should have reread the 1sr line from above.  So you opted for the Traditional BVA Hearing. Which type of Hearing, DC, Travel Board or RO Video did you choose?

Have you received the BVA "90 Day N & M Evidence Cut off" letter yet?

DAV, just like other VSO's, has specialists that Rep Vets at Local RO DRO Hearings, BVA Travel Board ,Video Hearings at the RO as well as a DC DAV Rep for a DC Hearing.

Did you check your Docket # against 2016 & 17 BVA Decisions? How do you stack up. Keeping in mind, the actual SR BVA Judge's written Decision trails the Hearing date by XX months.

Gastone- I checked and they are only up to assigning docket numbers up to May 2014 to VLJ.  Again, I did not request a hearing at the Board, so no travel,  or video hearing.
