Congratulations!

Generally, they tend to work claims and remands together. However, in cases where there is sufficient evidence to grant an award for some disabilities, they are supposed to go ahead and get those knocked out. Just be sure to go over the award letter and double-check everything with your records and C&P exam to ensure they didn't screw anything up.

Your IU Claim was part of the BVA Remand, correct?

Have your VSR pull up the IU Decision and copy pages for you. If there is over $25K in Retro involved with your IU Award, the Rating Dept has to get a DC HQ Signiture which can add some time.

Is your Direct Deposit Account set up to Txt and E-mail you real-time regarding all financial transactions? If not get it taken care of, usually Retro Deposits hit well in advance of Award Letters and/or E-Ben Updates.

If you own a Home and your state offers a DAV Property Tax Exemption, you need to go on-line to your City Tax Office and start a fillable Pdf application. As soon as E-Ben updates with your IU Award, print a copy of your Comp Award Status and take it with Application to your City Tax Office. After you receive the Property Tax Exemption (takes a couple weeks) mail a copy to your Mortgage Co, so as to eliminate Future Escrow Payments and to receive a refund of any current escrow balance.

I have had multiple BVA decisions and 2 months to implement is the "minimum".  The only thing at VA that would be accomplished in less than 2 months is to make sure VA executives get their bonuses.  It could come any time, or it could take 3 more months.

Most recently, in August, I was awarded TDIU by the Board.  I did not get the retro until about 3 months later.  The Board decision is under appeal, Im disputing the Board's reasoning on the effective date.
