Does this get me closer to finally getting award letter and retro pay

 I recieved this email yesterday morning on  status of bva granted awards for ptsd,sleep apnea and flat feet.My claim was filed 3/6/2012 I received the bva grant of appeal on 5/4/2018 and have yet to recieve my new rating of 100% with smc-s or my retro pay.I was told while they figured out my attorneys fees the first time they forgot to add the cola for each year,that prompted a redo.Does anybody think this email means I'm getting any closer?

Your RO is working on it, look at it as a public library, they have a bin full of returned books, with one person who takes one book  that was returned first then goes wondering the aisles. Until they find the right aisle then find the right column then the right shelf.

As you know the govt is not a pizza joint where they will delivery your pizza in 30 minutes.  When I get my retro, unexpectedly, it takes several months and upto a year, never falls on the first of the month and around the 17th through 19th.

Unfortunately I have to agree with Oceanbound, several months up to a year for retro payments.
