Claim granted, how long for retro payment

Rate this question

Question

I received my SOC this Monday and am getting retro pay from 1-14-19 from 10% to 30%. I've called numerous times and they keep saying there is a note in the computer that states i have retro pay. However, the paper has not been cut or released to start the process of my back payment. They say it can take a month for a year. Any idea on how long this normally takes? Thank you.

I was grant an EED on 10/15/2019 and I had my money in the bank three days later. II would think you should receive it soon, I am assuming you have been checking your bank account to see it there has been a deposit. I have also received retro pay for other grants and they have always been in the bank a few days after the grant.

Also if you have dependents make sure you have them listed for at the 30% rate and higher you get paid extra for them.

I am not an attorney or an a credited VA rep. These are my personal opinions and experiences, always remember what worked for me may not work for you.

You as the veteran are your own best advocate and no one knows your disabilities better than you. It is highly recommended that you as the veteran research and verify that any opinion given meets your specific situation.
