Carl the Engineer
This is how you can get your 201 personnel folder online, Log onto myVA, Under the VA Benefits and Healthcare tab, select, Records, Under the Records tab, select, manage your records, Under manage your records, select, Request your Military records (DD214), That will take you to the MilConnect web site. Your Ebenifits password and login will get you in, I think, Select the tab, Correspondence/Documentation, Select the tab, Defense Personnel Records Information (DPRIS), Select the tab, Request Personnel File. You will get an email saying they are working on it, then you will get an email saying it is ready. Then you go back on Milconnect, same tabs, but now you will have a document to open, which will be your record(s). My 201 is over 1100 pages (27 years service) and it took about 20 minutes. Good luck, Hamslice
0 Moderator brokensoldier244th Posted February 9, 2021 Moderator Share Posted February 9, 2021 This is a different interface into the same database I use every day. I just wish it was as easy for C-files. I get it, they are huge, but most of them have been scanned at this point. *shrug*
0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted February 10, 2021 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted February 10, 2021 brokensolider244th speaking of C-FILES I last requested it in 2014 but what I needed was not in it???...do you think or in your opinion if I request my C-FILE again do you think I might have what I need in it this time around? or just be senseless to request it? its on CD. 0 Moderator brokensoldier244th Posted February 10, 2021 Moderator Share Posted February 10, 2021 C files are fixed in time, the problem is (and I don’t know why) they take so long to get and they are a moving target. Maybe have a vso check first to see that what you needed/want is in there, then request the whole thing?

That will take you to the MilConnect web site. Your Ebenifits password and login will get you in, I think,
