Left shoulder secondary to right hand wrist shoulder

Rate this question

Zed

Question

Hello,

I filed for a compensation exam for my left shoulder secondary to my right service connections (right finger amputation of 1st and 2nd fingers, ankylososis of remaining 2 fingers- 70% for loss of use. Right wrist sprain 10%, right shoulder strain 20%, scars and osteo stumps 10%, and ptsd 50%.

I had the amputation from a mortar when I was 19 years old, so my whole adult life I have been over compensation with my left arm and it is finally catching up to me. How do I explain this for my dbq examiner? Or does anyone have a similar condition?

Thank you!

Hello,

I would explain it in your terms.  Tell them how it affects you on a daily basis and what a bad day looks like.

This type of issue happens a lot as one side of the body affects the other side.

Keep fighting it and come back here for support, because we have people here who have seen almost everything.  They can help!

Very similar circumstance. Take a look at my posts and see what my Dr wrote for the C&P exam and helped get my left arm service connected for “overuse syndrome”. I as well lost use of my r.arm while in the army 20+ years ago. If you want to chat OTP let me know.
