add55p
Me again, Is the Granted status on the va.gov ISSUES TAB inserted prior to the Judge approving/signing the appeal? The reason I am asking is because, I was informed that my appeal decision was being written up for the Judges review and signature. va.gov STATUS show "your appeal is being reviewed by a Veterans Law Judge" and the ISSUES TAB shows "Granted". I understand that maybe noone actually knows, but, can anyone give me a clue as to what may be happening during this phase of the process. Thank you.. 0 Lead Moderator ShrekTheTank Posted May 23, 2021 Lead Moderator Share Posted May 23, 2021 This means the judge did grant your appeal. Which is great! Now you have to wait for it to go to the regional office. This next step can take 2-6 months or more. I just want to give you a real view of what you are looking at. The judge cannot change your percentage there. The Ratings Officer has to check it and then they will make the changes and your percentage or SMC will change. 0 Moderator broncovet Posted May 23, 2021 Moderator Share Posted May 23, 2021 VA.gov and ebenefits are updated EXACTLY when the VA wants to, and not one second earlier. The VA has resisted being put on any type of schedule "even tho" Veterans are strictly held to a 1 year appeal schedule, and 120 days on a bva appeal schedule. Veterans are often given as little as 30 or 60 days to submit new evidence. VA gives congress the BS of a "pro claimant benefit system", when, for many Veterans it takes 10 years or longer to obtain needed benefits. I, for one, lost my home waiting on VA to grant my benefits, as I had no income. Supposedly this is better now, but we still have far, far, too many homeless Veterans. "One" homeless Vet is too many in my opinion. Its a disgrace to our country to ask a man to defend his country, then make him wait 10 or more years for his benefits through a hamster wheel of appeals, where the Vet becomes homeless waiting on VA. As far as the "process phases" you referred to, I humbly suggest you get a hobby, and concern yourself with other things, "unless" you are planning on working for VA as a rating specialist. The VA should let Chick Filet run the benefits system, we would have our benefits in 10 minutes, and they would be correct, and we would never have to get out of the car. They would respond "my pleasure" to our thank you, and people would want to join the military just to get their chick filet speed benefits, when needed. 0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted May 23, 2021 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 23, 2021 add55p This what most of us Veterans have to go through, they say get a hobby and get off VA,GOV it just cause stress\most of us just have to wait for the BBE to arrive in the mail...this sounds favorble so just relax and wait until you see it with your own eyes about what they grant you if you disagree with the decison you can always Appeal within one year after the decison.
