Mr cue
So my friend calls me this morning tell me that lhi ask him to travel a 90 mile away. This is crazy an ppl feel like this is ok. If a veteran is disabled I don't many who can travel that far alone. The va hospital is 10-15 mins away we're he and I have always had are comp exams. I don't want to hear the hospital can no longer do them. Because they can. This has to stop. He told them he not able to travel that far they tell him it might be 2 3 weeks before they can get something closer. Once I complete this fight. 0 Mr cue
Ok I am done with it but like I said the va hospital still have there comp and pension department. Well mine still does. 2 hours ago, brokensoldier244th said: Suffice it to say that not ever veteran is close to a VA hospital, not every VA clinic or hospital has every kind of doctor to do C&P exams The ? Was not about a veteran that doesn't live near a va hospital. It was about the va not scheduling the exam at a va hospital that is 15 min away from him An a private company asking a disabled veteran to travel an HR and half drive to get a appointment. An let me state this again I have been on hadit since it started. And I was here debating law with Carlie Berta. And more. And venting lol My name than was yulooking if u choose to look it up. Plz stop with what the va can and can't do. The reason the comp exam system was change was because veterans had to travel. the one who were not near va hospital. They did not stop doing exams at hospital an they did not get rid of the comp and pension department in the hospital We're all the exam were done before this. Call the va hospital and ask for the comp and pension department. I respect your opinion But I have mine to. So I think you should say the veteran affairs is choosing to send all veterans to the private contractor.

You don't handle law and are trained on what the va want you to do. If they tell you not to order exams form va you follow along. I'm not sure if the DAV offers transport for long distances to C&P exams. I have heard that they will drive a vet to a VAMC if he has an appointment there and he's a patient at a VA outpatient clinic (a CBOC). That can be quite a distance, so maybe they will drive for C&P exams. DAV transport relies on availability of vans and drivers, too. My VAMC did comp and pen exams. I am unsure of whether or not they refused certain kinds of exams, but I could not do mine at my VAMC because I also worked at my VAMC (conflict of interest) and so I had to drive 123 miles to an out-of-state C&P exam and 65 miles for another out-of-state and 87 miles for an in-state. I could drive though. Fortunately, I had just gotten a brand new economy car, because if I had to rely on my old '98 Buick I would be biting nails. It all worked out for me, and I just treated it like a mini vacation that I needed badly anyway. Our VAMC looked like a mall 2 days before Christmas. No, they can't. If we try to schedule an exam and the VAMC is not accepting exams for certain things, or at all, then they aren't. Stop telling people what you *think* VA can and cannot do. Becau

You are fighting the wrong fight, if the veteran cannot travel that far the veteran can have the LHI reschedule the exam. Two/three weeks is not going to change his rating effective date. You are stil
