I also had some hospitalizations in the early 19790's and i got copies of those records as well. So I do have a copy of all my records. The hospital records help me when I requested service conection for my TBI. I am not a lawyer so take my opinions with a grain of salt... If I had listened to the nay sayers, I would never have acheived any ratings after I was awarded TDIU in 1999. Now I have not one but two 100% ratings, a TDIU and 4 SMC awards ! Agree with @GBArmy. @Dustoff 11is spot on. The number one thing I tell active duty members make copies of all your records. Medical and Personnel records. I also recommend that they send letters home
