Radiculopothy

Question

Greetings vets,

Has anyone in the family have radiculopothy and have claimed it as secondary to a serviced connected shoulder condition?

I am working hard on secondary conditions and doing lots of research. I do understand the nexus part so I don't need to be educated on that topic.

I do have radiculopothy and have been verified by an EEG. I am not sc'd for cervical or lumbar conditions but it on appeal. I am sc'd for shoulder condition at 20. I am considering asking for an increase for left shoulder, right shoulder secondary to left shoulder since now it's out of whack and diagnosed, radiculopothy secondary to left shoulder. I have researched and shoulder conditions can cause radiculopothy.

Any ideas?

I did my physical therapy when I had a knee replacement, and I even had someone here at my home making sure I did exercises in between therapy appointments.  (my wife).  Of course, these were exercises designed by my physical therapist.

I was glad I did, because I got a great result replacing the knee, and my knee pain level is now 0.  No it still wont bend quite as far as when I was young, but I can climb steps and do most stuff with zero pain.  The PT part was an important part.  Others I know who had knee replacements did not do the PT as completely as I did, pretty much all got a result that was not as good as mine.  Coincidence?  Maybe.

And, I really did not think the PT would help either..I pretty much did it to please my wife.  More than once the PT was painful, and I did it anyway.  The PT joked that it wasnt "Physical Therapy" it was "Physical Torture"...but I needed to bend my knee in a direction it did not want to go to restore range of motion, after surgery.

Based on my actual experience, I recommend doing all exercises the PT recommends.  "Once", or even some, does not count, I did them all, every time.  The PT told me I need to continue "long after" my PT sessions ends, in fact, forever.

Its a fact that a sedentary lifestyle tends to reduce our lifespan.  Movement, on the other hand relieves pain including my pain for PN.

I get "senior sneakers" through my medicare advantage plan, and it means I dont have to pay to work in the gym.  So, I do the bicycle, especially when its too cold or too hot.  It increases circulation in my feet and helps PN.

I even noticed my prostate issues are much improved with bicycling.  Yea, I do the stationary bicycle at the gym, I may fall and hurt my self on a real bicycle.  But I hope to work up to that, too.
