In an earlier post, I explained you can multiply 2022 VA compensation by 1.087 to determine your new (2023) pay rates.

Of course, this is not "official" even tho social security has announced the cola to be 8.7 %, because congress can make changes effective Jan. 1, including cola.  However, the AARP would likely lobby congress to not change how CPI-W is calculated, and keep, or increase, or 8.7 % cola.

However, I know well that some people and math dont get along.  So, if math is not your forte, and you want to know, try this site and scroll to 4:15 showing compensation.

I did not listen to the whole thing, but instead used math, because Im a math nerd.

You can calculate it easier than I can.  Take your current compensation, and multiply it times 1.087

That will tell you the new compensation for 2023.  (Plus or minus a dollar or so for rounding).
