DeepDiverJoe
I have full set of loose VA issued dentures (August 2022). Going in this week to see about getting some kind of full set implants or dentures that are held in by implants. Anyone have any info? Ty
0 Community Owner Rattler Posted March 12, 2023 Community Owner Share Posted March 12, 2023 So I am going through the same thing only my dentures I can't use at all. You need to be forewarned that if you are diabetic that they will require you A1C to be below 7.0 or better.

I understand it has to go through some kind of "dental board". I'm asking if anyone knows the process and what to expect, and what to do if the board says no. 0 Community Owner Rattler Posted March 12, 2023 Community Owner Share Posted March 12, 2023 I will trade you 8.4 last week. Yes there is some kind of board with the head dentist and other's that has to approved you at the local VA Hospital for implants. I would be interested in knowing what they tell you. about yours. I have a real bad gage reflex that doesn't allow me to where dentures. I have upper's that I cant use and that was as far as I got. And they do not do implants at a community care dentist at least not in AL.
0 HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted March 12, 2023 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 12, 2023 Implants are good if you have a top notch dentist doing them. You will be in the dentist's chair for a while. There is a lot of surgery involved. I have had three implants but not from the VA. My experience with VA dental is pretty bad. How about a bridge instead?
