Dental C&p Exam And Questions
Hello all...great site! Currently 20% SC for wrist and thoracic spine, had a deferred decision on almost total numbness of face, from eyes to below chin after 10 hrs of jaw surgery at fort Gordon. First saw an old neurologist for C&P. He never even asked me about my face! talked to me for about 10 minutes, patted me on the back and said"you will hear something in a few weeks" and walked out! Anyhow, Finally got scheduled for Dental C&P at Durham VAMC. Could not have had a nicer Dentist to deal with. Spent almost 90 minutes with me. Very thorough history, xrays etc. He told me I "definitely" had compensation entitlement, and that he was going to recommend "at least …

Deliberate Vcca/duty To Assist Noncompliance.
I am aware of a senate committee and an OIG investigation of a VA regional office and I'm wondering if someone here can answer some of my questions about it. In brief, the Senate Committee for Oversight of Veterans Affairs opened an investigation that is being worked through the regional chain of command. The regional director wrote a letter apologizing for issues brought to the committee and OIG's attention. He called the behavior of certain employees "unacceptable and unprofessional" and says he has taken "appropriate corrective action." An OIG investigation is now going forward. My question: is it a serious matter when ratings employees are caught deliberately disr…

Review Officer
Well, I turned in the files to the review officer. I'm hoping they go over it all rather quickly, its not that great in length and it would be nice to have an answer soon. Anyone know about how long on the average it takes a review officer to eyeball your claim and then make a decision or a statement of case? Thanks in advance

Manganese Exposures For Navy Workers.
Manganese Exposures for Navy Workers. This information was taken from a study conducted by the Navy Environmental Health Center. It suggests that Navy personnel may be at risk for exposure to manganese. Conclusions presented in this study should be considered by DA Health authorities to determine if similar exposure potentials exist for Army personnel. In June 1996, the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Environmental Security) requested an evaluation of manganese exposures to Navy workers, and an assessment of the impact of a reduced manganese standard. Background note - The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) Chemical Sub…

2-METHYLCYCLOPENTADIENYL MANGANESE TRICARBONYL CAS: 12108-13-3; Chemical Formula: (CH(3))C(5)H(5) - Mn(CO)(3) H.S. No. 1271 OSHA formerly had no limit for 2-methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl (Cl-2). The ACGIH has a TLV-TWA of 0.2 mg/m(3), measured as manganese, with a skin notation. The proposed PEL was 0.2 mg/m(3) as an 8-hour TWA, with a skin notation; NIOSH (Ex. 8-47, Table N1) concurs. This limit, measured as manganese, is established in the final rule, along with a skin notation. Cl-2 is a dark orange liquid with a faintly pleasant odor; it is a complex organic compound containing about 25 percent manganese by weight. 2-Methylcyclopentadienyl Mn tr…

tdiu Tdiu Unemployment Form Help Needed
I am filling out 21-8940 today, is there any advice I need? The page seems clear, I have only worked on temporary jobs under one employer, so thats all I can list there. Question, how critical is it to have 'exact' dates and hours worked? As a temp, the pay slips are simplified, but I can get a printout for surety, of course that will cost. Question, are these numbers 'representative' for the entire claim being accepted, with more validation later, or need to be 'exactly detailed'? Also, time lost for illness, thats a best guess. With my chronic issues I was unable to work most days. I can use remarks page to explain, but want to keep it necessary information only. Thank…

How Long Do You Wait?
I was just curious to know how quickly other veterans are getting answers to their questions from the RO. If the answers that are given are generalized. How often do you the answer to the question that you ask that is satisfactory to you as an answer? Do they always follow through with the 5 day working day response for your answer, as stated below? Hello. This confirms receipt of the electronic message you just sent to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The reference number for your question is '000000-000000'. You should also receive an e-mail message confirming the office to which your message was routed. You should expect a response within 5 wo…
