More Info On Dental C&p
Thanks for the replies to my dental questions. I had my original C&P with neurologist, the same day I had exams for back and wrist. Neuro exam was a total waste of time. When I got my decision from VA, it said "This claim has been deferred. Sent to clinic of appropriate jurisdiction for action" two months later I had a dental C&P exam. I thought neurologist would be the one, but I guess that since problems originated after 10 hrs of extremely involved upper and lower jaw surgery, decision was made that dental was way to go. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks! Todd US Army '82-'89

Well Last week my local VA hospital did I Biopsy for skin cancer. I alredy have had two operations (where they put me under) for skin cancer. The last one was November 2nd 06. Well I got the call on Thursday (been drunk since) that my biopsey came back postive and the will have to operate again. OIf course after the 3rd operation the VA will say the cancer is gone and conuine to rate me o percent. Forgot about the scaring on my face thats ok because Iit will not be two inches long. Man the VA pisses me off after 3 operatiomns I bet thge will say I am cure we will just keep you at o percent. Sorry If I am venting just pissed Jim B)

Cll Retro
Just wondered if anyone that filed an agent orange CLL claim prior to October 16, 2003 has been successful in getting VA to move the effective date back. I've appealed my effective date twice, once informally and once officially and keep getting denied. This is perplexing since there is internal VA guidance in VBA Fast Letter 06-16 stating that due to court action CLL claims will be retroactive to date of claim. Also, several BVA appeals concering the effective date of CLL claims have gone against the VA. And, a few months ago the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals found against the VA on this matter. That court gave them an unprecedented chewing out over their foot draggi…

History Of Diagnostic And Statiscal Manual
Journal of the History of the Behavioral Sciences, Vol. 41(3), 249–267 Summer 2005 Published online in Wiley Interscience (www.interscience.wiley.com). DOI 10.1002 /jhbs.20103 © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. THE AFTERMATH OF THE DSM-III: DECLINE OF PSYCHOANALYSIS AND RISE OF PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY The DSM-III was declared a “victory” by its advocates largely due to the manner in which it quickly became the dominant approach to diagnosing mental disorders. The change it wrought was quick, thorough, and irreversible. Within six months of its publication, more orders were re- ceived for the DSM-III than all the previous DSM editions combined, including thei…

Using The Ftca Act
Has anyone here had any dealing with using the Federal Tort Claim Act? I was prescribed the Meds Lovsatatin and Ketoconazole to be use together. (By the VA) I develope a cramp in my right lower calf that will not go away when I walk. Can't really walk more then 50 ft without starting, then I stop and go a little further and stop again and so on. I have been to the VA for this and stop taking both meds and starting excersing everyday (streching the legs, etc) and it has improve a little, but not much. The VA ran a bunch of test and shook their heads, like with their hands out going I don't know. Well, after checking on line I discover the compination (sp) of…

Merry Christmas
I just wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you. Obviously this is not the place for me. When one cannot make an innocent comment in general terms without being ridiculed, having their service questioned, or being personally insulted about the medication one is taking, then it's just too negative a place for me. Persoanl attacks in my opinion is what is over the line Pete. If any of you have a minute please read all the posts I've made on Hadit...am I a trouble maker, you be the judge. If anyone mistook my post on Betty's topic as an attack on her or her claim (which it was not) then I am sincerely sorry. Again I wish you all a Blessed New Year.

Upcoming C&p
36 months later, and 18 months after filing my form 9 the idiots at the VARO decided that they would send me for a C&P on my claim for loss of use of left upper and lower limbs. My file contains 4 statements from my treating neurologist and two from my family doc stating that my residuals from my 2005 stroke are loss of use of left upper and lower limbs. Now I know these dummies. They are going to send me to this 5 minute C&P, wait another year to issue a SSOC that will continue the denial and THEN send the file (finally) to the BVA. Why in the h(*&^& would they hold my file for 18 months after I sent in my form 9 then decide they wanted a C&P.…
