Do We Proceed With An Appeal?
My husband received his rating decision dated 9-29-07. In this decision they gave him 0% for jungle rot for his feet and ordered an at once C&P. They stated they would evaluate after the at once exam and assign a higher percentage if warranted. He went to the C&P a couple days ago. He has a gunshot wound on his arm and burns to his right hand for which he received 2 of his 3 purple hearts and he has tried to get these service connected even if it is 0% - the VA stated in this last decision these were not related to his military service and service connection remains denied. We just don't understand why the VA won't recognize his purple hearts as proof of his …

hypertension Can Hypertension Be A Secondary Condition Of Recurrent Kidney Stones?
I have HBP controlled by medication. I also have service connected recurrent kidney stones. Although I had many high vital sign readings documented in my service medical records, I was denied sc for hypertension because I was never diagnosed with the condition during active duty. Can it be possible for the hypertension to be a secondary condition to the renal problems? Trying to figure out my next course of action in response to a recent SOC.

South Georgia.... People
I have been trying to help a veteran. This Veteran is in South Georgia. He lives a long way from me and needs a lot of help. This person has a Brain Tumor and is not service connected. He filed some paperwork and submitted it to the V.A. and he has not heard anything. I am not sure what he has sent in. He does not have his service records or V.A. medical records. I have informed him that I will need these to help him. I told him this a few months ago, but he did not do it due to his condition. I am looking for anyone in his area that can help him. He used to be in the Waycross Florida area. This is a Vietnam Veteran. I have not even seen his DD214 that he does…

Roanoke, Virginia
Has anyone had a good, bad or otherwise experience with the DAV, MOPH, VFW, etc service officers in Roanoke Virginia. I'm considering opening up a new claim and upgrading old SC ratings and don't want to hook up with an overworked or un-attentive SO. Also, any info on claim turn-around times in Roanoke to get a C&P and final decision would be great. Any input on your experiences would sure be appreciated!!! J. Riverman

Request For Va Vocational Rehab Records
I recently requested and received my C-file and other records from the VA. On the form that I cannot remember the number of now I also requested my VA Vocational rehab tests and counselor notes and my VA PGW Registry which I received nothing, I also attached a letter asking that if they were not the appropiate office to ask for these to please let me know what form I submit and whom I ask. I can go down to the VA and request my PGW Registry information but they are a pain in the tail......but I have no idea of how I get the notes from the VA Vocational rehab. Both of these will be used for a claim. Thanks in advance, y#5

Ssoc Not On Its' Way From Amc?
Hi just me, I am still going around the Mulberry Bush. Ms. Winston told me last Friday a SSOC had been mailed to me. Not true. A decision was made the 7th and here I was going to the mail box every day for something that was still in post and determination. James told me yesterday that the decision was made the 7th of December, but it did not have enough signatures. I called later in the afternoon to Director Russso's office and was told the same thing. I have seen it posted several times how many a grant needs in reference to retro. I have searched and searched the internet, but cannot locate this answer. Anyone know how many signatures a denial nee…
