tdiu Called The Va Today
Yesterday I was told to call back everyday about my claim since it was in adjudication and they will be able to tell me if I was approved for my Unemployabiity so of course I wake up this morning and call and the first lady tells me " your package is at the rating board you should have an answer in abut 60 days". I tell her that I know my claim is in adjudication could she tell me the status? She says, "It's with a Rater". I call back in about 5 minutes to speak with another Rep and was told that my claim has been determined just that it needs to be signed off and to call back next week, because they can give me the status after it's approved. I find it amazing how each r…

Look How Fast The Va Says It Will Process Your Claim
<H3 align=center>VA Disability Claims and Appeals Process</H3>1. Application: The veteran begins the process by completing and submitting an application for disability compensation benefits with the VBA. 2. Triage: The triage team has the responsibility for reviewing, controlling, and processing all incoming mail. Team members are responsible for deciding whether a claim can be processed immediately or it will need additional development. 3. Pre-Determination: (Development Initiation): The pre‑determination team’s primary function is to develop evidence for disability compensation claims. At this time, a VA examination may be scheduled if medical evidenc…

Va Studies
In reference to the VA taking bids for a contractor to study and provide them with the best way to implement the D/S recommendations (as reported by watchdog) I have a couple of questions: 1 - did we as taxpayers just spend millions on two commissions on what to do? Then why were they not tasked to recommend how to do it? 2- Should they not wait until the wounded warrior act is passed by congress? If they commit to funding through the bidding process then that money is obligated so why the hurry? Has it not been pretty apparent from the comments by members of congress and the senate that the recommendations of the communist Dole just ain't right and is not suppo…

Nhl And Ao Exposure In The Oral Arguments
VA has admitted that sailors on ships off shore in Vietnam, during the Vietnam war, have a higher incidence of NHL than soldiers on the ground in Vietnam. VA says that that this Blue-Water disease was caused by Agent Orange exposure. Then the VA says that only boots on the ground is used for presumption of exposure for AO. This is a hint that Blue-Water Veterans were exposed to AO, but at the same time, these sailors could not have been exposed to AO, according to the New and Improved VA interpretation of Congressional Laws that were made many years ago. Sounds clear as mud to me. Want to listen to the hearing go to this link, http://www.cafc.uscourts.g…

Understanding Dd214
Okay, I have searched on the site, but I am confused. Allot of the post say look at box 26 and see what code is there. I have no box 26 on my DD214. It goes from box 24 to box 28. I have been under the impression that I was medically seperated from the USAF. Box number 23. Type of Seperation it is listed as Retirement, box 24 Character of Service is Honorable. There are no boxes 25, 26, or 27. Box 28 Narrative reason for seperation it says Disability, Temporary. Can anyone tell me what this actually means?

Newstory On Bids For Compensation System Rewrite
link to newstory on Bids for Compensation Schedule Rewrite. http://sev.prnewswire.com/health-care-hosp...08112007-1.html This makes the hairs on the back of my neck raise up a bit(need a haircut): -- The appropriate standard or standards for determining whether an injury or combination of injuries has caused a veteran loss of earnings. Don't get excited about all this talk about compensation for quality of life. It looks like they want to get rid of the average impairment concept and force a requirement that you have to prove loss of earnings? Transition payments is sounding a lot more like some funds for helping you to prepare to live at…

lumbosacral Question On Ratings Of The Spine And 4.45 The Joints
Greetings all: Have a nod filed on a 40% rating for spine. Trying to get unfavorable ankylosis rating and VA is stuck on complete/vs partial even though the last revision to ratings of the spine removed the terminology "complete bony fixation" CFR 38 part 4 B 4.45 (f) (f) Pain on movement, swelling, deformity or atrophy of disuse. Instability of station, disturbance of locomotion, interference with sitting, standing and weight-bearing are related considerations. For the purpose of rating disability from arthritis, the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle are considered major joints; multiple involvements of the interphalangeal, metacarpal and carpal joints …

Claim Is In Adjudication
Today I called the VA to see if there was any answers on my UI as well as my reopened claim for migrains and depression and I was told that my claim was in adjudication. I then asked if she could tell me if my UI was approved and I was told that if I had a POA then they would be able to tell me, but she is not at liberty too. :D I said the whole point of a POA is if you want someone else to handle "my claim" and since it's my claim I should be able to get an answer about ME. She commenced to explain to me that SO's have a special clause that they will be able to get answers before the VET. I chose to handle my claim myself so that I do not have to worry about my claim bei…
