hypertension Cp By Qtc What A Joke!
Well went ot the CP today and exam dr did not even have me take off my clothes! (damn she was cute too!) Anyhow she just said it was a slam dunk for my heart and diabetes and the VA just were looking to confirm. Hell I was trying to get an increase for my hypertension and PN but when ever I started talking she just cut me off! 10 minutes and I am out of there. OH she did look at my scans from my cardio dr and said there is no question there. Don't know what that meant so now what do I do, put in another request for increase for Hypertension and PN or just wait and see what the VA comes back on this and NOD no wonder the claims are so screwed up. Thanks to all for helpi…

Va Is Confused
I have been waiting for the claim on my spine to be decided. They had decided most of the claims that I had sent in last month and I received the decision letter last week. This morning I sent an IRIS inquiry regarding my back claim and was told that I had been awarded 10% effective June 2, 2007, which was before I had received the decision letter stating that my "appeal" on my back was being deferred. I had filed a NOD over two years ago on my back, but it had also gotten worse in the meantime, so before the SOC was sent, I had also filed a claim for increased compensation. The SOC arrived in January, I decided not to pursue an appeal and then had a C&P in March w…

ptsd The Board Of Appeals Has Made A Decision..
I've been reading through this board for quite some time. It's given me hope in my 5 year long claims/appeals process. So let me give you a little bit of the history first. I'm a Vietnam Veteran, '68-'70, and decided (about 5 years ago) to try and get some benefits. I never thought it would ever work, or was worth it, but my wife finally convinced my crazy ass to at least try. So, I go in and they evaluate me to all hell and back and give me an initial GAF score of 49 and 30%. I appealed this and they denied it. I appealed it again and have been waiting for about 2 years on a decision. Oh man can they shuffle you around, yikes. Anyway, I recieved the big brown envelope…

S/c Disability
Can the VA reduce your percentage for a s/c disability by looking at your doctors notes or do they have to give you a C/P exam to determine that?

C-file Came
Got home from work yesterday and my husband had recieved his c-file from the VARO. We spent most of the evening going through the file just- LOOKING at the stuff that was in it. I must say there really is very "little" of actucal military records from 1966-69 in this file. They had so many duplicates of papaerwork and social security papers and 5 copies of some things. It is a wonder they can get through it without a index ledger. They do have it categorized when you go to look at the file, but when you get your copies, it comes as just a stack of papers. It only took 3 months to get the c-file and one year to get the copies of the SMR's that are in the C-file. St…
