Wham Bam C&p Exam Today
Drove 8 hours roundtrip for a C&P exam today. Items covered were a Physc Eval (don't know why), IBS, Sleep Apnea and PN Right side. I have seen many complaints on Hadit about exams and thought you guys would get a kick out of my experience. Hope the post is not to long - -Staff very friendly -Physc exam: Doc - why are you here today? Me: For a C&P but I do not know why and was hoping you could tell me. Doc: I have reviewed your file and it is not clear why the exam was requested. Me: Did you contact Montgomery and ask why? Doc: Yes but the person I spoke to did not know. Doc: Since you claimed IBS I assume that is what it is for because it is a…

hypertension Cp By Qtc Should I Be Worried?
I have 60%heart,20% db2 pn 20% total 100% comped at 70% I got the 60% for heart secondary to DB2 by a having A. heart attack and B. private cardio dr. letter. I put in for an increase for hypertension and pn and also had another stent placed in March. My question after reading a few of the horror stories about QTC do I have any chance they will reduce or drop the connection between the DB2 and my heart disease? Anyone have this happen to them? I worked very hard thru appeals to get this where it is today and just wondered if I should drop this all together. I know my PN is worse and is given me the dickens and HPB is now finally controlled by meds after switching …

Looking For Copy Of Clinician's Guide Or C&p Manual From 1988
Greetings All: I feel I have a strong case on a CUE, but recognize feeling isn't evidence. In my 1988 C&P for back injury they stated all my ROM were complete. They didn't use a Goniometer. I know that this in itself is not CUE. They measured my Chest expansion at one inch which from a lot of what I am seeing on the internet would constitute a limitation of motion (non-compensable). Since I had arthritis on the Thoracic spine x-ray at that time, I think this is clearly cue. Arthritis with any limitation of motion that is not compensable is to be rated at 10%. What I am missing is the guidlines in effect for C&P physicals at that time. SC and a 0% rati…

Sleep Apnea Disability
I'm new and trying to get the hang of posting. Does anyone know when the VA recognized sleep apnea as a disability? Also, does anyone know how to get a C&P manual from 1989? Or any other manuals that were used that year? Thank you for your help or steering me in the right direction. Thank you, Donnie

Is Crdp Backdated To Claim Award Date?
Does the VA retroactive pension award date affect Concurrent Retirement and Disability Pay (CRDP) start date as well? I know we earned every penny, didnt we? My family knows my sleeping hours are messed up from years of being "shifted", working in humiliating conditions, humbling myself next to Vietnam, Korean and World War II active duty veterans and losing self esteem in an all volunteer military, being penciled in as 'trained' more times than I can recall on training, weapons, safety, inprocessing,,meetings, getting 'trained' a year or so after getting new job and equipment, and showing mettle to other young females knowing whats going to happen to them even though c…

From Sp5 Kelley
emailed from Charles Kelley: 2nd Ballalion, 94th Artillery -the" Rain of Steel" -New VA Advisory Committee on OIF/OEF Veterans and Families Link is located at: http://www1.va.gov/oifoef/ Does anyone know about this committee or its dealings on a positive note? Alternatively, is this just another White House via the Veterans Affairs Gods to add another gauntlet to the Veterans in obtaining benefits to reduce the cost of war? We all know what the Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee on herbicides did from 1979 to 1991 to at least 2.3 million Veterans with an additional White House budget memo in the 80’s to all federal agencies not to find …

Effective Date And Payments
I filled my claim 12/28/2006, they downloaded it 12/29/2006. I was approved for an increase on 5/31/2006. When setting up my direct deposit (sorry no numbers ) they mentioned I had a check for XXXX i divided it out by my monthy rate and came up with 5. Should I be payed for December 2006 (Jan, Feb, Mar, April, May) and receive a seperate check for June or would the first month payable be January which is normally paid on the 1st of February (Feb, Mar, Apr, May June)?

Do They Really Think We Are Stupid?
I just received a decision on an appeal from 2003 from the Board of Appeals. I read it and couldn't believe what I was reading. It stated that I reported that I manage to do my activities of daily living very well, which is the biggest fabrication of the truth. Everything that I said or sent to them said the opposite even to the fact that I could not travel to my brother's funeral because of the problems that I was having with my back. I am in the process of request the document that states that I said I am able to manage my activities of daily living very well, because that will be what I use in court. How can they fabricate information like that and think we will no…

Rules For Adding Evidence
Once your claim is rated, and the vet either accepts, asks for a reconsideration, NOD, appeal..and you send in your letter stating you do not agree with the decision, can you continue to send in more records and information until the NOD or appeal is decided, or is there a cut off time on adding the new evidence? I mean, once you send in your "additional" evidence, can you continue to send in evidence? We have been waiting for C-file for 6 weeks ( not counting the request for SMR's and Medicalrecords back in 2006)never recieved. How can a veteran supply evidence in a timely manner when the vet can't even get a copy of his records so he can look at what the VA is using…
