I Got A Call From A Va Clerk Today...
I got a voice mail from the VA today. The message said that they were calling to update my insurance & demographic data. I find this very strange. I have never had a call like this before. This call comes at a critical juncture in my case....I just got the SOC for my NOD and I believe they are giving me a bone to apease me, but that is another story. Another thing that I don't understand is that I got a letter form the VA saying I was eligable for VA med care as a Priority 2. I don't even remember applying, unless filing for a C & P clain counts. I just think the timing is strange....what do they really mean by demograpics? They know where I live a…

Banding Together
WE EACH FIGHT OUR OWN BATTLE WITH THE VA. WE EACH SEND LETTERS TO OUR STATE SENATOR ASKING FOR ASSISTANCE IN GETTING OUR CLAIMS RESOLVE. WE EACH MAY SEND A LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT ASKING FOR HELP WITH VERY LITTLE ATTENTION BEING PAID TO OUR PLIGHT. OUR CLAIMS ARE TAKING LONGER TO BE WORKED, THEY ARE MORE ERRORS BEING MADE, MORE CLAIMS ARE BEING DENIED AND NOT GIVEN DUE PROCESS, REMANDS ARE UP, CLAIMS ARE SITTING MONTHS WAITING ON SIGNATURES, AND VETERANS ARE BEING LIED TO WHEN CALLING ASKING FOR THE STATUS OF THEIR CLAIMS. YET VA EXECUTIVES AND EMPLOYEES ARE GETTING HUGE BONUSES FOR MAKING OUR LIVES MISERABLE. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VETERANS WHO ARE ACTIVELY …

Training Letter For 2003 Spine Criteria
Greetings All: Trying to understand what VA has taught/told its minions. I have searched this site and WARMS looking for a training letter for ratings of the spine similar to the training letter that was done for IVDS. If it exists I want to read it before I receive my rating this time. The more I read the more I realize I should have appealed my 0% in 1988 and don't want to make the same mistake twice! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Tyler

Follow-up, New Website, Ao In Milk In Nam, New Zealand Media Report
Follow-up, New Website, AO in Milk in Nam, New Zealand Media Report, http://www.2ndbattalion94thartillery.com/Chas/Followup.htm 9/11 Toxic Chemical Victim to be added to the list of 9/11 Victims Follow up on decontamination of AO drums or anything with AO Follow up on AO and Benzene Posting - reference DoD decontamination procedures. I don't know if this would help or not. Back in the early nineties, I was working for a toxic clean-up corporation. One day I was asked if I knew anything about AO. It seems there was a spill or something and the Company (Magnum Tank Service, Pompano Beach FL) was thinking about taking the job. However, I was …

Va Said They Looked At My Work History To Determine
VARO in determing my C&P % wrote in their decision to me that they also looked at my work history in increasing my diasability form 0% to 30%. I believe I qualify for 50%. They even acknowledged two letters by two different doctors stating that I am disabled and can only have a sit down job. VA did not ask me how that has hampered my civilian employment. So how can they say they looked at my work history? Joe

Got The Form 9 Question On Next Step & Retro Pay
All, The VARO reviewed my NOD and sent me a SOC with a Form 9 for me to fill out. Before the NOD, I was 30% total for 3 issues of 10% each. They increased my foot condition from 0% to 30%. They did not even address some isues in my NOD. So I am assuming that puts me at 50% total. So what do I do now? Filed a NOD or a Form 9? Is the Form 9 like a NOD? I know that I have to do this within 60 days. Also, If I have a another condition related to my feet but not on my orginal claim, what do I do, file a new claim or add it in? Basiclly VA doctor found another conditon on my feet. Do I request a board hearing in DC or a local one? I am going to get some retro…

More Screening
Hello Everybody I was told my claim was sent to the rating board on March 21 and it can take some time to make a decision. They said it was screen before it went to raters to make sure all my C&P and paper work were there. I call them and the guy was not sure what to say to me. He said it was at the raters being screened and was confirmed on May 24. Does that mean that my claim will be pulled again and a request for more C&P or whatever. I talk to VSO and he didn't help either. all he said was claim was confirmed on May 24 with Rating Specialist. I am just confused and concerned. Thanks Lady Chance

At U.s. Military Hospitals, 'everybody Is Overworked'
fwd from: Colonel Dan At U.S. Military Hospitals, 'Everybody Is Overworked' (USA Today, June 5, 2007, Pg. 1) Months after the problems revealed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center caused a massive shake-up throughout the military's system of healthcare, the service is still struggling to find enough doctors and nurses to care for troops and their families. The Army operates 36 medical facilities worldwide. For the past two years, more than half have failed to meet Pentagon standards for providing a physician within seven days for routine medical care. And the Army has been forced to spend more money sending military families to doctors in nearby communitie…
