Dingess /hartman Letter Found In My Files
I did not return this VCAA notice response because it came from the RO and my claim is with AMC. One year expired on March 20th. Should I send this to AMC now or do something else. Is AMC looking for this signed notice before they continue processing my claim? My claim went to the ratings board in March and it was sent back for further development. They wanted medical records from a deceased doctor and the records were destroyed. I told them that in a letter to BVA in 2003. I recently, faxed AMC the documents verifying that the records have been destoyed. I have a statement from my sister that I was seen by this doctor during the years in question. The plan w…

Cue Or New Claim?
Hi folks, New to the board but have been reading for awhile. I am trying to help an old friend. His claim was denied in 2001. At that time he was in poor health (still is, but better) and had no help or advice from DAV rep. He knew nothing about the VA system and just let the claim go after he appealed and was denied. He was just to weak to take care of business. VA had his SMR, VAMC Records, personnel records, his testimony about being injured in combat, copies of medals and commendation,DD214,and some scientific articles connecting his specific injuries to jet pilots. I looked at his claim and it appears that he was not given combat status. That caused many of t…

Retiring Soon
I am retiring soon after 21 years and would like to know what to expect from the VA as far as the process goes. I know there is know telling what I will get, but I have issues that have been routinely addressed. Here are the chronic issues I put up with on a daily basis that have not been resolved: Since 1994 I have had testicular pain on a daily basis following a vasectomy. I have tried anti-inflammatories, Neurotin, cord blocks and even a vasectomy reversal with no luck. Since 2002 I have had back pain since moving some furniture. This is also aggrivated by arthritis between L5 and S1. I have again done the anti inflammtories, tens unit, chiropactor, and ph…

2007 Edition Of Va's Federal Benefits
You can pick up this booklet at your Local VAMC or download it online. Seems like half of the booklet is VA listings, so you can download the smaller version without the listings. http://www1.va.gov/opa/vadocs/current_benefits.asp

Doctors/nurses/others Hand Written Notes
A thought occured to me as I was reading my SSOC and SOC's, C&P Examiners make hand written notes when they do examinations. Has anyone ever requested hand written notes through the records office? The reason I am asking this is I am planning my fight to establish a earlier effective date on one of my conditions. I remember a C&P examiner stating something to me during a exam, this was also stated in front of my wife who was present at the exam. The doctor told me (at my very 1st C&P) that she thought I suffered from depression. There is no mention of it in the report. I was wondering if she could of possibly wrote that down in a hand written note? …

ptsd Ptsd And Tbi Concerns In Iraq -afganistan Servicepersonnel
http://vawatchdog.org/07/nf07/nfMAY07/nf050507-1.htm These two reports were mentioned in a ticker at 6 AM on Fox news- If there was an actual exit strategy for these situations (of course there was one) it was highly deficient in not considering these factors- Everything I have learned about warfare at school-from studying Lessons learned and actual decisional assessments from commanders of all wars shows this is should be a prime concern for leaders before they even get an exit strategy down on paper.Even before they plan an operation or campaign. The phrase "battle fatigue" associated with PTSD (before they gave PTSD its name) has become more of a reality…
