Va Suspense Dates
Hi. What does it mean when the suspense date in the VA computer changes? A few days ago it was Dec 5, 2006 and now it gives May 5, 2007 and the new suspense date. Does this mean I have to wait for an answer until May? I haven't even gotten a computer generated letter form the VA telling me they are working on my claim. The last info that was sent to me was Oct. 2006. Thanks, Tamara

tdiu So What Good Did It Do To Send Claim Certified Mail?
The first of February I sent in my TDIU application along with a new claim. A week later I sent in a request for reconsideration for a denial for depression which they rated even though I had asked them to hold it while I gathered my records. I sent both packages certifies mail and both show received the first part of February at the VA. I had not heard anything so I called to check the status. Well, the computer does not show these as being logged in or pending. I asked if the mailroom was backed up and she said that mail has already been processed from that timeframe. She said she would look around and try to find them but if she could not locate them I would have…

I Do Not Believe It...!
Do y'all remember a month or so ago, when I had to go in for a C&P and I was SO convinced that it went badly, so convinced that I ran out and got another IMO just to counteract this C&P. Well, it is celebration time at LarryJ's Joint and Conjugational Bar & Grill..........! I won't bore ya with all the exam findings but I will bore ya with this: "He has had no prior surgery to the left ankle. He developed more pain in the left ankle when he jumped off a cargo net. The pain developed in his left ankle and he has had ankle pain ever since. His pain is every day and constant, described as a constant ache with occasional sharp pain. The pain averages abou…

tinnitus Dic Question
I hijacked a thread the other day, sometimes it happens. I appoligize. The question posted was, I am 100% P&T with DMII, PN, and tinnitus. If I die as a result of HBP (heart) problems does my wife get her DIC? I understand the 10 year rule. My 100% effective date is April 2004. I had a NOD for HBP that I dropped after receiving 100% P&T. The VA says my HBP was diagnosed before DMII so it is a pre existing condition. Thanks. Terry Sturgis

Timeframe For Nods And Filing Form 9
I was.. well way out in left field on this... To be blunt I had misunderstood this for a LONG time... yet another case of where I thought I "knew" something. Anyway, since I have heard it spoken about before, with the same assumption I thought it important enough to start a new thread and post Vike 17's excellent knowlege and answer to my question. Sixthsense, I know you weren't complaining, it was just a coment in general and was not intended to be directed at you, or any one inparticular for that matter. You aren't being stupid by any means either! "So to clarify what I think you have said... a NOD can be filed if it is within one year of the claim date. The 6…

Copies Of Past Denied Claims
How do I go about getting copies of claims that were denied from 1993 - 1995. Does anyone know if there is a record of these that I can get. I can not find my copies and denials. And I am sure i will need them for my CUE. My second question has to do with combined diagnosis type ratings. How do i receive a rating for both conditions. I just recently had my rating increased to 50% SC "Cluster Headaches with Horners Syndrome" 8100. I see that Horners Syndrome has seperate rating criteria but there is no rating for it that I can tell. My service medical records refered to my condition with the entire phrase as well "Cluster headaches with Horner's syndrome" So in addition…
