ptsd Nexus And Stressors
I have referred a few vets to the search feature so they can understand what we mean but maybe this doesn't help A documented Stressor is a nexus- also a nexus could be documented proof of any inservice event, accident, sexual trauma, combat trauma, etc etc- that is the Cause, etiology, or Reason for the present diagnosed disability. A stressor is defined as : Stressor: "Proof of a traumatic event in-service. Called a “stressor,” it is the basis on which all PTSD claims are based. In short, no stressor, no claim, end of story. A stressor is generally defined as personal exposure to a life-threatening event such as combat, a serious accident, or rape. Fo…

ptsd Gaf Scores
I read this decision the other day carefully as I have situation where the vet is questioning his GAF score-long story there-and maybe he will understand better the way VA views GAF- only one of many records of evidence they use to determine "hypothetical continuum" "In assessing the evidence of record, it is important to note that the GAF score is a scale reflecting the "psychological, social, and occupational functioning on a hypothetical continuum of mental health-illness." http://www.va.gov/vetapp06/files2/0609739.txt The veteran's rep fought for higher rating from 50%: "The veteran's representative has contended that this examination is inade…

Question On Va Hearings
http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:pm60w...=1&ie=UTF-8 I might be missing something but does a claimant have the right to submit an additional claim at a hearing? I thought hearings were focused solely on the last SOC ,or denial, or whatever and the vet can present oral argument with additional evidence as well as witnesses-etc etc -this stuff in this m21-1 link-and a separate issue can potentisally be raised but I thought- only if it was probative to what the hearing was actually for. Do vets go to hearings with additional new claims? If they do does the VA then do something with these new claims at the hearing? Thanks all.

Post Exchange And Commisary Privilages
What do we need in order to get PX and Commisary privilages? Do you have to be rated 100% to get an ID card? I am 60%. Am I eligible to use the commissary and PX? A while back someone posted the forms needed to obtain a military ID card, could they post it again? I am close to a Army Arsenal that has PX and Commissary among the regular Army base activities. I already have a Department of the Army MWR ID card for gaining access to the gym etc., But I think you have to have a military type ID card to use the PX and Commisary. Right or Wrong?

Archives Has Lost My Administrative Records? What Next?
Hi All. I was told by the AMC that they needed a complete copy of my administrative records. They told me to go on line and have them sent to me and then send them to them. I did this in July of 2006 and again in September of 2006. Well. behold, now the AMC wants a copy directly from the archives sent to them electonically and without them passing through my hands. Well, I found out today that the AMC received notice from the archives that my administrative records are lost. The guy at the AMC told me to call the Archives and see what they told me. I talked to the lady at the Archives and she confirmed they are lost and are flagged and the Archives …
