10% Compensation
I love the internet. All of this information is available now, but when I was medically discahrged in 1993, I couldn't find out anything. I was discharged with 10% for bilateral posterior tibial tendonitis. After a joke of an exam, the VA said I was service connected at 0%. One of the things they also told me was that they didn't pay compensation for less than 30% disability so 0% really wasn't any different than 10%. I have refiled my claim and easily got a 30% rating which I am fighting with a NOD since it should be 50% based upon my C&P exam results. I am also fighting the zero rating that they gave me back in 1994 based on blatent errors. However, has…

Minnesota Gov Proposes
http://www.allamericanpatriots.com/m-news+...ryid-17436.html It sure would be nice if other states too- followed this lead- Here in NY - some tax districts have property tax exemptions based on service- as well as deductions for widows and widowers of veterans who had owned and lived on same real estate in NY before they died. I bet many veterans do not know of these potential benefits- It pays to check with your County Veterans Service Agency or tax office to see if you are eligible.

Cue Versus Regular Claim For Disability Comp
Can someone explain to me what the differences are if any between the way a regular claim submitted and the process the VA uses to process a CUE. Does the VA disgard a CUE claim that a vet included within a regular claim and process it via a different process? Will the VA process and award retro on CUE that is not a stand alone claim? Or do they defer that CUE portion of a claim and advise the Vet that he must file the CUE under a different claim process? Just trying to figure out if they are handled in different methods from a regular claim with multiple conditions.

Entitlement To Service Connection For Skull Loss
Below is the link to a BVA decision awarding entitlement to service connection for skull loss and this veteran had been previously service connected for post traumatic encephalopathy with borderline memory, evaluated as 30% disabling, major motor seizures, evaluated as 20 percent, and scars secondary to head injury and surgery as 10% for a current combined rating of 50%. http://www.va.gov/vetapp96/files2/9618053.txt It doesn't look like they used the same etiology rule in any of the decisions I have seen so far and this case is almost identical to mine. In service head injury, in service surgery, in service skull loss, in service cranioplasty. I had also sent t…
