Need Advice
I filed a claim for migraines 7-8-05. Received a decision on 1-18-06 granting SC 0% immediately filed request to reconsider. Request to reconsider went to rating board on 4-13-06. Last month I filed another request to reconsider on my arms due to new evidence from the VAMC. I called today and was told my claim for headaches had been pulled from the rating board so they could start my claim on my arms. What should I do? Does my time to file a NOD run out 7/06 or 1/07. Can they pull my claim when its that close to a decision? It had been at the rating board almost 60 days. Thanks

Ftca Claim Question
I dont remember what the topic was called but I attached the SF 95- also -anyone filing FTCA-I suggest you state under question 8 - just as I did- I stated clearly that the veteran's VA medical evidence revealed inappropriate treatment, medication, and misdiagnosis that was inconsistent with known medical practices in the standard medical community, and as a result of those actions, the veteran had died. You will need additional pages -there isnt much room on the SF 95 to explain your whole claim. As witnesses- I listed every VA doctor who malpracticed against my husband. Property Damage Part 9 and 10 is not applicable -this is if a VA van hits you or some…

Income, Or Not Income?
OK, I'm confused. Everyone I've talked to VA wise says that disability income is not "income" per-se. But when I fill out forms for things like CHIP or SSI for my little boy <he's autistic> they tell me it qualifies as income. So I'm horribly confused. Does ANYONE know where to find some sort of regulation that tells whether or not VA disability counts as income for governent programs like CHIP, SSI, and food stamps? Thanks so much. I appreciate any help anyone has. Shalia

Va Announces Theft Of Data On 26 Million Veterans
VA Secretary Nicholson just concluded a conference call with major veterans' and military service organizations to tell them that a VA data analyst took home the names, social security numbers and dates of birth on over 26 million veterans and others to work from home. The data analyst's home was burglarized and the computer and/or storage media containing the data was stolen. Local police, the FBI and VA's Inspector General believe the burglars were after computer harddware and do not know what they have. VA is going public with this in a press release later today.
