Proof Of 100%
I received my 100% P&T decision today and my question is how do I get a letter saying so? Do you call the 800 and ask for it? I have seen it posted somewhere in the past but I can't find it. I appreciate the help. Terry Sturgis

Rating Software
I know this may not affect most of you, but in the event someday you are hanging by a thread between one rating percentage and another higher one, this will matter. I've posted before, that according to the combined ratings table in 38 CFR, my husband's at 100%. However, we just recently received confirmation through our U.S. Senator that the VARO is using software to compute percentages. In most cases, the results are the same as what is reflected in the table. However, in my husband's case, they are not. The software rounded him down to 90%, and I'm sure this is being done many times over throughout the country to other disabled veterans. You all know the differen…

Greetings Hadit Members, Hope everybody took a few moments to honor our fallen comrades in arms yesterday. I was going over my claim’s NOD and wanted to see what you thought about information submitted. At the very end of the claim, I wrote in the following remaining issue (among others). Do any of you think they look at this information,o or will I need to file yet another claim to move it forward? Josh Remaining issues: Regarding other issues contained within the SOC in 2-16-2006. I object to the examiner’s comments regarding cervical spondylosis noted as being “quite mild.” considering there are two disc herniations…

Veterans Stolen Data
You know what is so ironic about all we have read about the veterans stolen data is that I have yet to read anything substantial that they are doing which will prevent this from happening again. The following is a portion of one statement made: "Each year, VA employees are required to complete Privacy and Cyber Security training. Those training courses are provided and required to serve as important reminders to all staff that public service is a public trust. Because of the serious breach that has occurred by the actions of this VA employee in removing Federal property to his home without authorization, all employees will be asked to complete the annual General Pri…

Migraine Headache Claim
Hi Berta, I see you're signed on. Maybe you can assist me with my inquiry. Regarding my migraine headaches and the effective date. I wrote to the regional office to obtain a copy of my original C&P physical conducted in October 1996. To no surprise (to me) the notation from the physician clearly indicates "veteran has history of migraine headaches and received treatment in the military". The VA never assisted my in substaniated my claim during any of the previous claims until 2004 at which time they scheduled a QTC examination which states "the veterans migraines headaches more likely than not occured in the military service". Since I'm trying to win an earlier …

See If We Can Help.
I was introduced to a 66 year old in country Viet Nam Veteran today asking questions that I can not answer. He is on Social Security and has Medicaide and Medicare. He lives in what I believe is called Chapter 8 housing paying $160.00 a month for his rent. He has been to the Battle Creek VA with heart problems he had during the mid 80's. Other people have advised him not to file a claim as the added income would effect his rent subsidy and also his Medicaide and Medicare. My question to you'all is that true? Thanks for your help. Chronic Encephalomalacia/post-traumatic Encephalopathy
I have a report from the VA neurologist that diagnosed "Post Traumatic Encephalopathy, this is (more probable than not) as a result of service connected open head injury (chronic encephalomalacia seen on MRI)." He explained that it is old dried blood, dead or dying neurons, and dead tissue intermingled with live tissue and live neurons of the brain. I'm trying to find out if this is something that warrants a claim and if so where exactly can I find it in the CFR 38 as rateable? Is encephalomalacia the same as atrophy? I just found a good link for medical definitions and it said encephalomalacia is "Loss of tissue and/or softening of the brain due to injury, …
