Is This A 1151 Claim?
I was recently diagnosed by VAMC stomach disorder and acid reflux. In the past I have been on several nsaids. One time an incompent doctor had me on 3 at same time which is a medical no no. I was told by VAMC doctor today that since I was taking nsaids on a daily basis up to 3 times a day, that I should have been on some type of stomach medicine. VAMC never recommended any type of medicication for protection to my stomach and esophagus. Their non recommendation has lead to my problems. Is there any way that I can get any compensation from this.

Veterans Service Officers And Claim Submission.
I had been reviewing posts from other areas on this board and I came across one that really hit home. A Service Officer was sitting on crucial evidence in a rating reduction case. A similar event happened to me back in 94 and I lost allot of retro because of it. ( I am trying to cue it back) Most Service officers have a cord and you can plug them into the wall and sweep your carpet with them. There may be a few ( Very few) good ones. If you are trusting these people to submit any information for you you may be in for a surprise. These people work at the Regional offices and work every day with RO personnel. I am sure there are relationships built, Lunches are taken,…

Mental Health Increase?
Hi, What would happen if you put in a claim for an increase for a mental health disability? Would you have a C&P exam or would they use notes from your mental health dr? Or would they send you to a different dr for an examination? Thanks, sbrewer

Need Some Info
Well, we were told today that my husbands claims left the raters desk last week and we should hear something around the first of May. I guess my question now is where does the claim go from here and what is actually done at each level. I have read some information on this, but it is very vague in content. I do know that from the rater it goes to the adjudicator. What do they actually do and does it take very long. Then from there, what happens. We have been waiting for over 7 years for one of the claims. It is a remanded claim from the BVA. The others are new claims that occurred after the BVA hearing. So, these are about 1 1/2 years old. We are patiently …

Nod Question
I submitted my NOD to my VARO and my SO said that I do not submitt my new evidence untill I get a statement of the case and said that could take two years. Don't I only have one year from the date of my orginal decision to send in more medical evidence? If so, then the SO is wrong. Also on my orginal claim that I filed, I claimed flat-feet and got 0% which I am appealing. However now the condition is so bad that when I stand for only 5 minutes I get sever pain in my feet and back. Do I need to file a new claim for this condition? It has been over a year since I left active duty. Thanks, Joe.

Prostrate Cancer
I have searched the site for an answer for my wifes friend that lost her husband a few months ago to cancer. I thought he had only liver cancer but it turns out that he had Prostrate Cancer too. He was 101st in country AO exposed so the presumption of cancer from AO is provable. She says her SO is trying for retro on the cancer and DIC for the time since he passed away. In searching the site I could not find the rating chart for Prostrate Cancer. She thinks it is 100% but I see some of our family are rated at 50 or 60% on that disease. Question is where is the chart for Cancers? Thanks! Terry Sturgis

Dro Job Description
The attached DRO job decription from M21 show you exactly how beneficial these reviews can be. I have limited time but wanted to post this as I just sent it to the VARO- for the DRO- because she did not do anything here in regards to my claim. I figure she never read it. Ftca Awards 2004 Vs. 2005
Settlements and awards of ftca claims dropped almost 50% from 2004 to 2005. 2004 settlements and awards were over $100 million . 2005 settlements and awards were down to $59 million, the lowest it has been in years. Does anybody have the reason for such a large drops?

What Benefits?
Well comrades, The Chief of Staff at Little Rock says no operation. He looked at the MRI but, not me. The examiner, it was not the chief, said that they only operate on spinal stuff if the operation is to save your life. I'm done. Tanks, but no tanks. If I had-a known about this crap in 1970 I woulda become a Canadian and never gotten into this mess. From a gratefull nation my ass. sledge
