Well, I Had C&p Today
Hello everyone, I had the BVA ordered Exam today, and I really don't know how it went. The one I had in 2005 was very in depth, but this one only hit the highlights. He ask me a couple questions about where the pain was and if it radiated. He checked my range of motion, straight leg raise (and appologized for hurting me). I also had to stand on my toes. He checked for numbness, which I have some in my toes. The whole exam took less that 10 minutes! It appears that it was just a formality to check range of motion. It's like the decision of SC has already been made and they just needed to get limitations measurements, or they are going to deny my claim and had to …

C & P Exams
I noticed a lot of people mention having their C & P exam's at a VA Hospital. I've had two C & P exams and both were through a private doctor. I assume contracted out. There is a VA Hospital just a few miles from my house. I've gone there several times for treatment. Is there a reason the VA regional office chooses a private doctor (through QTC Medical Services). Any opinion on which is better?

ptsd C&p For Ptsd
I had a C&P for PTSD a few weeks ago. I was under the care of a private shrink in 2004 for about a year and I never told the VA about it. It was a job related issue and I took a few months off and I needed a medical diagnosis to cover my absence under FMLA. I was a supervisor and fired someone and he lost his appeal and it was final. This employee had a history or violence and crazy behavior. He told people he was going to get me. I asked the agency what they would do to protect me and I was told nothing could be done. I went to the shrink and he put me on Zoloft. As far as I can remember we never really got into the combat issues. I know it was mentioned…

Just Got Va Claim; Question: Buddy / Lay Statements
I just got my claim back from the VA. Like many others, I was told by official VA reps sent to provide information to military members on the bases that anything found within one year is just as if it was on active duty. Since, I learned that isn't the case except in the case of certain medical conditions including my sleep apnea. I learned a lot from this forum and know what I have to do concerning my sleep apnea. I had severe knee issues that were very painful that needed to be addressed six months prior to retirement and after retirement. Once that was under control, I got a referral for a sleep study two months after retirement. I saw the sleep doc the followin…

C&p For Coronary Artery Disease
Bertha my c&p exam was for CAD secondary to high blood pressure an I was awarded 10%. But the left side of my heart had a 50% blockage from my hearth cath. I had the heart cath done at a heart specialist and all of the paper work was sent in. But the VA said from their EKG that I probably had a 61% blockage. I just don't understand how they can do that when they have my heart cath. test. Thanks
