So I just learned that for Houston's regional office the turnaround time for VA C&P claim completion is 13mths. This was kind of a shocker to me but then again I can't really be surprised about it. I'm in the stage as of now so I'm just hoping for a good rating overall. Retroactive pay will look nice I'm sure considering the wait. Keeping my fingers crossed. Let here your stories about your wait process.

So if this C&P examiner wanted to twist things around and say my major depression isn't service connected will over rule my previous VA rating where the raters determined it is service related which will decrease my rating?

Well just went on ebenifits again to look up my appointments and paranoid me had to check claim status which went gathering evidence this morning to review of evidence which seems like a good thing. What do you all think.

Awe wish I would have seen this post before I submitted paperwork earlier today which they asked for. Guess it will take forever and a day now. My claims are still in the gathering evidence and review of evidence stages as of right now. Ithere is no turning back now. And thanks for the QTC response I wrote a letter and sent it off as that's what i was told to do by the rep on the 1800 line. I wish I could go to the RO but it's in Houston and I'm in San Antonio the drive is kind of long guess I will have to wait and see what happens which is racking my nerves a little. Thing about just getting a VSO to handle things. Mine as we'll try to put in a claim for unemployability now since the fdc is out of the window.

I also would like to know to help my claim do I need to upload my document that I am currently receiving ssdi for my illnesses?

John I am really sorry to hear this. I know how frustrating this can be for you. You can always appeal their findings. When you go into the C&P exams never tell them you are doing fine or good. You always want them to know everything you are going through on a daily basis. And as I learned on here never look the examiner in the eye. I hope this tidbit of information helps you some.

I see that many of you that have had c&p exams have received the notes from the examiner already and wanted to know where you got the notes from and how to obtain them for myself. I had my exam done on the 21st @ QTC medical facility. I have a myhealthevet premium account and I don't see anything in my notes for that date alone with about two other doctors notes. I'm just curious on how I can get a copy.

I never knew that your neck hurting delt with the nerves in your hand explains why my hand goes numb and i get thee shooting fire pains that hoot down my arm to my wrist.

I will keep my own notes from now on and when I got to my visits read them off because of memory issues and being anxious isn't a good combo when trying to tell someone what you have been going through for the last sixty days.

Wow..so they mess up a whole lot from what I can tell. Mainly because they are short handing things and enter it into their database when you leave the office at least that's what my psychiatrist and psychologist did I know because they just wrote on their pad. Although the c&p rep actually entered it into the database right then and their.

MDD with sleep disturbance, asthma with mild sleep apnea, Migraines, lumbar facet syndrome and left hip tendinitis. I recently put a claim in for cubical tunnel syndrome and Bipolar 1.

So I have a bit of a problem my psychiatric documentation is incorrect, and my doc documents what she wants as though I am ok every single time I come in. Now she had me go to a psychologist who deemed me bipolar 1 with personality d/o when I go with her she says I'm not what he said I'm just a little depressed. What was the point of me going then if she is going to say what she wants. Also I have four kids and she put I just have a daughter and I feel like my mother abandoned me when in all actuality my mother gave me to my aunt and I never had a relationship with her. She doesn't ask me any questions when I go there but in her notes I tell her I'm doing good and everything is going ok for me wth. I honestly wish that was the case but it's not. Also on my initial visit I told them that I had a episode where I took pills too end my life but my mom stopped me that put my mom and my sister stopped me. Looking through my VA documents they have been just putting whatever they want in their notes. The psychologist is the only one that has noted my file correctly except for a age that I gave him instead of 18 he put 17. What can I do I'm so lost right now and really upset as my claim for a increase may get denied and they just may lower my rating because of her notes.

Wondering if having a VSO is really necessary or not. I actually didn't go through a VSO for my new claim nor the claim I just got reevaluated for yesterday. I currently have all of my one medical record from outside provider and just submitted it. Does that affect the VA's decision whether or not if you have representation. I just remember being in the army in my Meb stage and never able to reach my PEBLO which was frustrating. How does everyone else feel about this? To have a VSO or not to have a VSO is the question.

Whoami, Oh ok, hopefully they will send everything through quickly since your exam has been posted. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I know how that is too, I had my daughter last year and I sent a add dependent request in and it's still at the received stage. Since all this publicity is on them hopefully they will get the ball moving on everything.

Glad you you received your increase. I too went through the same exact thing with the exam. I was only in there for maybe twenty minutes and my doc kept looking at the clock like she was ready to kick me out. I had so much I wanted to say and I felt like she didn't ask too many questions mostly about my family and a few questions about home life and work and that's it. I will be requesting my records at my local VA hospital to see what findings she came up with.

I currently rated at 50 percent for MDD total rating of 80 with other disabilities. I believe my psch doctor put me in for a increase of benefits as my depression had seemed to have gotten worse. I had my C&P today and when me about the sensitive subject of being molested or raped and how many times I told her 3 which is the truth although I never told any of my other providers about it because the third one happened in service but I never reported it because I thought it was my fault it happened in the first place. I am scared that she will put down something about me having PTSD when I was never diagnosed or told any of my prior psychiatrist or psychologist about the incident. I only went there to get my rating increased due to my worsened symptoms nothing more. What if anything do you all think will come of this?
