I am 100% TDUI P & T will the Housing Allowance help pay my mortgage
Housing Allowance
Veterans with 100-percent disability are provided a housing allowance, which can be used for rent or the payment of a mortgage. If the veteran does not own a home, the federal government will provide to the veteran with a grant that pays up to 50 percent of the home's value, not exceeding $46,000. A 100-percent disabled veteran is also eligible for home modifications if she owns a home. This money can be used to renovate a veteran's home to make it more user-friendly for the disabled veteran.
what does this mean?

Hi everybody just received my TDIU C&P exams schedule for next week any suggestions. anything

Thank you . I used a private DR. and his assistant and they both agreed my diagnosis of MDD chronic recurrent /
PTSD with GAF of 45 . I submitted my IMO from my Doctors with VA Form 21-0960P-2
this 30% is they gave with an IMO. and yes I will appeal.
-
today I spoked with my DAV person about the low 30% rating I was give. I ask if I should appeal for a much higher rating because of my gaf score of 45,
I was informed that the higher rating are for people with PTSD. should I disregard this and appeal anyway.

thank you this very helpful

you may entitled to a 100 percent rate if you are unable to secure and follow a substantially gainful occupation because of your service connected disabilities.
If you believe you qualify, complete, sign, and return Veterans Application the enclosed VA form 21-8940 , Veterans Application for increased compensation Based
on Unemployability . I just had a c & p exam about two weeks ago for MDD VA DR. gave 30 percent not sure of the gaf score my private DR. gave a Gaf score of 45.
Here's the break down
30% MDD caused by chronic pain
20%rt shoulder
20% left shoulder secondary to rt. shoulder
10% rt clavicle
10% left bicep secondary to rt. shoulder
10% foot
0%scar
Total 70%
I'm currently on SSDI because of my service connected disabilities
1. should I appeal for a rating higher than 30% base on the my 2 private DR. gaf scores of 45
2.my bilaterial factors rt. shoulder combined with my left shoulder and left bicep will this give me the 40% need for a 100 percent rate.
3. will they consider the 30% MDD + 20%rt +20%Lt+10%Lt+0%scar all of this as one injury.

I have a little more infoREASONS FOR DECISION1. Service connection for status post left shoulder rotator cuff repair (previously denied as left shoulder degenerative joint disease and left biceps tenodesis) as secondary to the service- connected disability of right acromioclavicular separation with and impingement syndrome.
Service connection for status post left shoulder rotator cuff repair (previously denied as left shoulder degenerative joint disease and left
Biceps tenodesis ) is granted with an evaluation of 10 percent effective 2012. An evaluation of 20 percent is granted effective 2015.
This is considered a full grant of benefits sought on appeal.
Although the VA examiner opinioned that your current left shoulder condition was unrelated to your contention of overuse due to your service connected right shoulder injury, your VA treatment reports previously indicated that your left shoulder injury was likely due to overuse and your treating orthopedic provider also reference your previous MRI results and right shoulder history in finding that he was 100 percent certain that it was secondary to favoring the right shoulder. Therefore, the preponderance of evidence indicate that your left rotator cuff tear was due to your service-connected right shoulder disability.
2. Service connection for surgical scar, left shoulder ,residual of left rotator cuff repair as secondary to the service-connected disability of status post left shoulder rotator cuff repair.
Service connection for surgical scar, left shoulder, residual of left rotator cuff repair has been established as related to the service connected disability . 0%
3.The evaluation of right acromioclavicular separation with arthritis and impingement syndrome, which is currently evaluated 20 percent disabling, is continued from 2015, the date of the VA examination confirming range of motion findings warranting a 20 percent evaluation. A separate 10 percent evaluation also is assigned for right clavicle deformity 2015, the date of the VA examination
Showing chronic deformity of distal clavicle which does not affect range of motion. The separate 20 and 10 percent evaluations assigned for your right shoulder disability combine to a 30 percent disability for right shoulder and constitute a full grant of benefits sought on appeal as your combined right shoulder evaluation is no longer being reduced.I don't know what to do, if there someone out their who can write a reply for me I will be greatful because whentalk to the VA everything I say gets lost in translation -
RT. Shoulder 20% caused secondary Lt. Shoulder injury 20% and secondary bicep injury of 10% and 10% for rt. clavicle and 10% for scar
for some reason this feels like more than 50%
