CG, I did put in for and received a 60% rating the eed was Juuly 2006 on it last year based on a nuclear stress test I had done in July 2006 LEF was 48% on that test. Right now I am waiting on a rating from a claim I put in last January 31st, for insonmia and carotid artery stenosis. The funny thing is they was going to make me do a stress test for the carotid artery stenosis and PVC, but told them according to the CFR no Stress test with a LEf below 50%. They were not to happy so they did a echo and it shows a LEF above 50%. So pretty sure they are going to try and lower the 60%. So just getting my ducks lined up to fight them again. Just need 10% to be 100$ scheduler. So you know they are not going to let that happen....lol Thanks for the advice

Good morning all, I have a question had Myocardial Infarction on 1/23/2003 was service connected for it due to my SC Hypertension. Was rated at 100% for three months, then 10% on my C&P exam they based this on METS greater then 10 but they also stated that I had 50% LEF this was documented by catherazation. Being not to familiar with the VA lowball ways. I never appealed. My question is would this be a CUE if they had the documentation of the 50% in front of them and still rated me on the METS? Thanks

Hey Jim, How you doing? When I was rated at 100% temp for strokes twice now they never did a exam after the 6 months. It just went back to the old rate. Do not know if they do the same for your skin cancer.

Jim, recieved my SOC last week also, 100% Temp for stroke (did not say how long assuming 6 months), increased migraines to 30%, all others denied with exception of neck says it is continued whatever that is. So here I have 210% combined to 90%(94 rounded down) just missing that 10% for 100%....lol Looks like the BVA it will go.

Put DRO in Feb 08, just called and said partial grant was made Saturday the 13th percentage still the same in the system though.

Jim, I will let you know if they considered my meds, when I had my C&P with a QTC doc in williamsburg. I listed all side effects of the 16 differnt meds I take for my SC conditions. Will see if our RO will even consider it. Still waiting on my claim for 2 issues that I submitted on 1/2008 and the NOD from 2/2008. Keep getting it is waiting on a decsion answer from IRIS and 1-800. Good luck Norm

At least they did not say due to there summer vacation schedule it will be awhile. That was the response on my last IRIS from the same RO. Makes you wonder....lol

Jim, Sorry to hear our RO did it again, still waiting for word on my Claim and NOD. Just recieved my C file about a month ago, all the cp exams were in my favor but they ignored most of them. File another NOD on it that is what it takes with our RO, don't even know if that will help but it is a start. I know if mine has to go to BVA it will be a no brainer award. Good luck Norm

They should go with the cath at 25% that is considered the gold standard, echo is just an estimate. There should the cardiac training letter on here. Think I have it if you need it. Boats

Betty, About 100K that was just figuring the first year with no colas, at the 1992 rate for the 10% $5,220, at the 1997 rate for the 50% $42,588, at the 2005 rate for the 70% $54,624. Just a WAG.....lol. Hope you get it soon. Boats

Retired in 97 Navy put me on the Permanent Disability Retired List after 21 years. Applied with VA they gave me 40% lowball never appealed. 2003 had heart attack gave me 100% for 3 months then 10% more. Still at 40%. 2004 had a stroke gave me 100% for 18 months then upped me to 60%. Had another stroke March last year they did up two residuals, now 91%. They never rated me at 100% for 6 months after the second stroke. Have a Nod in now. Don't think they did me any special favors....lol\\ Boats

Jim, Sorry to hear that, VA keeps telling me to get a VSO, When the Navy put me out on PDRL had to through TAP and the DAV guy told me not to file with the VA, so from that day on I said it is up to me. Just yesterday when I called the 800 number they wanted me to get a VSO so when my NOD is denied and I have to go to the BVA. Told the guy ya right if I get anyone it will be a Lawyer. You get what you pay for.. Boats

Jim, Cool that would be good hate to drive that far but if it can do me any good will do. Should start fishing in a couple weeks, have to put the batteries in it and change the oil. You like flounder fishing? I usually go on sat or sun, or during the week if I can get time off. Fish middle of the bay or go to the cbbt about 7 miles from marina.
