@Navy4life check out my ptsd exam......I posted it on MST forum. I believe it is under all c&p exams in.............I had the c&p exam on aug 11 AND NOW THE CLAIM IS IN PREPARATION FOR DECISION. I HOPE ITS GOOD :)............I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND AND BELEIVE WHAT YOU SAID. BE HONEST! THAT HAS GOTTEN ME THE MOST RESPECT. I WOULD NEVER TRY TO EMBELLISH! some of it was ugly, but I was honest and that is all that matters....thank you and blessings to you as well! I was an MP assaulted by another MP. it was horrendous and sad. I am in therapy to this day as well

@Navy4life I kind of agree with you about what @john999 said, but our Vietnam vets were treated a whole a hell of a lot differently than I was (Desert Storm), so I get his saltiness, but I went into my exams and was honest, and to be frank, I really just wanted validation that I was being honest, I went in as myself and all of my exams went in my favor. If you are honest, then you have nothing to worry about. I do take care of my hygiene and I try to do the best I can , but some days are better than others :)............ I can only hope that my decision is favorable but just telling my story was enough for me and I think my C&P exams reflected that. I went in and was myself. No less. I have never had a bad experience with the Va, most every time I went in I was treated with dignity and care. my service records also speak for themselves. I was proud to serve my country but I did not ask to be sexually harassed or assaulted. I just wanted equal treatment and fairness. The VA has always been on my side in my opinion, but maybe I am the exception and not the rule?

Yes I have already had all of my C&P exams. I uploaded my PTSD one, look at my other posts... I was just wondering how long it takes to hear a decision. I had the C&P exams on Thurs August 11 2016

Anyone ever deal with the St. Pete VARO.... I just had all c&p exams and they are complete on myhealthevet. Any guess as to when I will get rated? also, after they rate you, how long before retro pay? Does monthly benefit come before retro or vice versa. Everyone has been amazing on this site. Thanks to all for your advice. So far I have been told 100% for PTSD, 10% for right ankle and 10% for tinnitus.... the c&P examiner also said that my bladder condition was secondary to PTSD/MST. Do they rate secondary conditions?

I HAD ALL 3 EXAMS YESTERDAY AND I FEEL THAT THEY WENT GREAT. THE DOC PUT IN FOR BOTH ANKLES AND I ALSO WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE NO HEARING LOSS, BUT HE WOULD PUT IN FOR TINNITUS. NOW FOR THE BIG ONE!
MY C&P FOR MST/PTSD
THE DOC DID NOT REALLY GO INTO MY CHILDHOOD AT ALL, HE ASKED ME ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH ALCOHOL WHICH I TOLD HIM I WENT TO REHAB FOR. HE ASKED MY HOW MANY TIMES I TRIED TO COMMIT SUICIDE (4)...HE ALSO ASKED ME ABOUT THE BREAKUP OF MY MARRIAGE AFTER THE ASSAULT, HE ASKED ABOUT MY ANGER PROBLEMS AND ALL SYMPTOMS. I TOLD HIM HYPERVIGILANCE, SCANNING, DISTURBED SLEEP, ANXIETY, PANIC ATTACKS, ECT. HE ALSO ASKED ABOUT THE ABORTION I HAD IN HOLLAND AFTER THE ASSAULT, HE ASKED HOW MY SEX LIFE WAS( I TOLD HIM IT WAS STRAINED), I TOLD HIM THAT HE WAS MORE THAN WELCOME TO TALK TO MY HUSBAND BECAUSE HE WAS SITTING OUTSIDE, HE TOLD ME THAT WASNT NECESSARY. HE ASKED IF I HAD BEEN IN TROUBLE IN THE ARMY. I TOLD HIM THAT I HAD AN ARTICLE 15 FOR AN ALCOHOL INCIDENT AFTER THE RAPE. I ASKED HIM IF HE NEEDED THE NAME OF THE SOLDIER THAT RAPED ME, HE TOLD ME AGAIN NOT NECESSARY, HE WENT INTO THE ASSAULT BRIEFLY. HE ASKED IF I WAS FORCIBLY RAPED, WHERE IT HAPPENED AND IF I KNEW THE GUY. THAT WAS IT. HE THEN TOLD ME THAT I WOULD TAKE THE MMPI AND IF I HAD ANYTHING ELSE TO SHARE WITH HIM TO WRITE IT DOWN AND THEN HE LET ME GO. THE WHOLE THING TOOK ABOUT 30 MIN? HE WAS VERY NICE AND TOLD ME HE WOULD WRITE IT UP AND TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF. WHAT DOES THIS SOUND LIKE? WHY WAS IT SO SHORT AND WHY WOULDNT HE WANT TO TALK TO MY HUSBAND? HE ALSO SAID THAT I HAD POSITIVE MARKERS. ANY THOUGHTS> THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH

ok................... I can get into myhealthevet, but not ebenefits! I have a premium account on myhealthevet, I just cant get one in ebenefits. I have already talked to everyone that I can. ebenefits, DEERS, ect! the only option they said is to go to VARO? that is out of the question. its 8 hours away! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I went to the vet center today and we tried everything nobody no answers don't know how to do this they do not do it at the medical centers anymore

Hi! I tried to upgrade account on Ebenefits to premium and it locked me out and won't let me upgrade. I have called 15 different people and no one knows what to do? I even was told to go to a Rapidsite, (we have on Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field AFB } and......guess what! they don't even know what the hell I am talking about? The answer was that I should go to a VARO, well...........that is 8 hours away from me. anyone ever have this happen? I have talked to VA, VSO and both Air Force bases here! no one has any damn idea what is going on.....I have called ebenefits customer service and DEERS as well........no luck! can anyone add to this? I am at a loss! I have a myhealthevet premium account! I now need to be able to get an ebenefits premium! cant these two be linked? HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! FRUSTRATED

Hello all!
just wanted to say thank you to all who have helped me in this VA disability thing. I just got my ID card at Hurlburt Field AFB and it feels good! I have continuing struggles and therapy, but otherwise, I am glad this is over. I just wanted to tell anyone that reads this and is struggling, if you have a good case, DO NOT GIVE UP. I have had ALL pleasant experiences with the VA and it was relatively easy to navigate this system and get to my 100% P&T rating for PTSD/MST. I will tell you that you must have your ducks in a row, if you are not in treatment, get there now! Most of my treatment was with the VA, so it was all documented. I had every clear marker that there was in my STR. It is so important to stay organized, get to a Vet Center, get a VSO.......ect............., This is not rocket science, the only reason that it takes them a little bit, (In my case, 9 months), I think is, because they have so many fraudulent claims clogging up the system. If you have a good case, have all your records or can prove clear markers, are getting treatment, be honest at the C&P, then you claim should go just like mine did! If anyone would like to ask any questions, please feel free to message me! I would love to do my best to help ANYONE that is suffering out there! Be blessed everyone!
