  1. THe CDC came out with a document that Agent Orange can be Airborn...The following doc was used by a Thailand vet to get his claim approved...If your job was outside exp. mechanic on plane,,,

"Dust or soil particles contaminated with TCDD can remain airborne or accumulate on indoor or outdoor work surfaces and may present a potential exposure hazard. Exposure to TCDD as a vapor will normally be negligible because of its low vapor pressure. Contact with TCDD-contaminated liquids is possible through the handling of drums or tanks containing the liquid or through dispersion of the liquid."

THe above statement is part of this cdc study from 1984 under:

Nature of Occupational Exposure to TCDD

If you worked outside on any base recorded as being sprayed with AO, in Thailand, this study has been filed sucessfully by Thailand vets, for AO exposure by airborne vapor...in AO claims...

  3. You should contact the va hosp near you, and take the Agent Orange test..consisting of a blood test, chest xray, and a nurse asking you were you were in Vietnam, dates etc....you'll get a letter in about two weeks with their findings...with the letter go to a primary dr in va and show him the letter which in turn he'll assign you to a specialist in the field.... The dr is required by law to write a letter on his letterhead ,va or private, in support of your claim..

    good luck..

  4. Just remember they sprayed off of the back of trucks/jeeps, which became airborn from the wind blowing, which carried ao all over the bases.

of which you would of walked thru the shit every day...

  5. I got a call from the va the 9th of dec stating they were going to award me with 100% p/t . Got a form a few days later about my wife and when and were we were married, that was the 14th Dec....this thurs will be 3 weeks since the call....is .this the normal waiting time for the white envelope.?

  6. The scale is setup by the VA that the higher your percentage, the harder it is to get over the top. For example I'm rated by the VA at 90%...to get over a hundred I would need 50% in another disease...
