  1. This is an old post. I doubt if you get a response.
  2. Congratulations. Just make sure that you keep your treatments up to date. I am not sure, I am not a doc but I think your conditions can lead to hypertension. Start keeping track of your blood pressure. MH conditions can also interrupt your sleep pattern or at least mine did. Then I started to get headaches. My meds affected me too. If that check engine light comes on, do not ignore it. Get it checked out, get a paper trail, find out why that check engine light came on. Could be from your service connected conditions.
  3. Actually a great Idea. The problem is since covid hit, it's hard to get an appointment with the VARO. My recommendation, after the exam with contractors, track the progress on VA.gov. once you think that the exam is sent to VA, immediately make an appointment. I don't know about most but in my area, takes awhile to get an appointment.
  4. Well just a thought. Once a claim is filed, can we do a letter or something request our c&p exam if done by LHI, QTC after the exam is completed since no longer available on myhealthevet, prior to a decision is made?
  5. When dealing with medical, I do believe in medical regs, you have to do a medical release form. But also as a patient, you have a right to your medical records. VARO should not have those rights but they do. They can read your QTC, LHU medical reports and make a decision before you even put eyes on your own medical reports. Just wrong.
  6. I think that if anybody, any business does anything to your personal info, ie records, finance, etc you should have a right to know. QTC, LHi, etc uploads documents that pertain to you. We have lost our rights. We pay for programs to monitor our credit. Those companies alerts you for any changes. Allows for you to see the changes and ask if you had made those changes. Why can't VA do the same. This is the report that was added to your records, do you acknowledge this report?
  7. True Dat from Whodat. Glad it worked for you. But also understand, VA has hired newer and smarter staff. Yes c&p examiner isn't your treating physician. Paid IMO isn't your treating physician as well. The VA has an upper advantage because of the fact that info can be pulled from military service. Can your IMO Doc do the same? Probably not. IE, VA can access your personal files like military orders etc to verify. Called PERSCOM. IMO writers can only have access to what you have submitted or and fioa for medical release. Smh.
  8. Psoriasis is one of those claims that if service connected is granted, depends on the percentage of the body is affected, you might get 10. Also it's a hard one to get service connected if you weren't diagnosed in service. I was diagnosed with eczema while in service and got a zero rating. Getting a civilian Doc to do an imo is very challenging. Most are very skeptical of writing a letter due to fear. Some will do it. The VA forces vet to have and IMO but they are also aware that Vets will pay big money to get one then turn around and deny the claim for something as to how long the doctor have been treating the Vet. That's part of the IMO. Why pay for an IMO these days. Civilian Doctor's do give better treatment, I agree, but in my opinion, by using your VA pct, you can pretty much provide a link. Use your myhealthevet messaging. That's a great tool. Use the emergency room if needed. Make appointments with your VA pct. Make sure what you have discussed is documented on your notes. These guys are smart, be careful on how you say things. In example, I have flat feet which is service connected. Now my knees are bad. This is what I tell my doc. My knees hurt because of my feet. That's my chief complaint. No I am not a doc but why else would my knees hurt. Make sure that it's noted. If not, that's where messaging comes into play. Finally my pmct sent me to the podiatrist. Told the podiatrist the same. He noted it in my records. Keep in mind I am scd for my feet. Once my knees swell up, I do go to the VA emergency room. Tell them the same. I also make sure it's documents correctly for my visit. Buddy statements and lay statements help as well. Now you have a big paper trail. I am not saying that this method works but makes VA work harder to find a way for denial. My opinion.
  9. When I had exited active duty, I was awarded 10% for tinnitus assuming because I fell in that MOS that qualified for it. Is that considered presumption?
  10. Like all stated above, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Some of the elder Hadit members like rattle recommends that you prepare your own letter and provide supporting documents, who knows, may work.
  11. Did you get a copy of your c&p exam? Don't give up hope just yet. Wait for your decision letter, study it very well.
  12. Look brother. People in the family are right. You can fight this battle and win. Hadit family is trying to motivate you to stay in the fight. Do not know your recent claim. But if you are in that window, fight that claim. In the meantime go through your records, keep going to the doc. Do your ITF. If you keep researching on Hadit, our elders had put out some great info as to where you do not need a lawyer.
  13. From the elders here on the site, my opinion is to wait until you if you have to, BVA level. The elders on the site loves it when you redact and upload your decision letter. If you are within your time limit, my opinion, I would challenge your c&p examiner. Maybe another exam will get ordered. Most of my exams, I had to sign a letter that the examiner used the goinemeter. If they did not, I didn't sign. Did you pull up the qualification of your examiner? Do you have any docs from your private doc? Just questions. You don't have to answer.
  14. I have been doing the same as well. I have been waiting since 2019 as well. Have you been assigned a Judge? Some judges work faster than others.
  15. I think that we are putting too much on 30percent plate right now. First thing first. If 30 feels that he was lowballed for his last rating, and he is in that one year appeal timeline, he probably should challenge the examiner. Once that claim is closed, he should claim for depression, GERD, etc. In the meantime, he should do an ITF. My opinion.
  16. I am sure that they have heard pain. Probably seen it to by facial expressions. No doubt. Like Shrek has mentioned was the range of motion. You will have to see your c&p exam to see what was recorded for your rom. Now did your examiner use a goinemeter (sp) to measure your room are just eyeballed it?
  17. How can we prove the development of denial? Like the Nurse Practitioner says, it mere speculation.
  18. Like JonathanWilson has stated, get the help first for the gambling addiction. All that clothing allowance, vehicle grant can lead you to other problems such as one less bill that you have to pay so now it gives you more money to gamble with.
  19. Has anyone in the Hadit family had gotten a rating under PACT Act yet?
  20. You are right Pacman. It is. I get the same letter in the mail for my Chiropractor treatment. Not a bill, just shows how much was paid out.
  21. In my opinion, it's a better option. Straight to BVA. Yes it's a long process but at least BVA does a thorough review of your records.
  22. 3 years is better than 4 or more. I have been waiting over 5 years now and still no decision.
