Everyone won't agree on many things, but the one thing we should agree on is that we are here so that no brother or sister veteran gets left behind, not on a jungle trail, not on a desert trail and not on a paper trail." Tbird

The biggest component of HadIt.com to help veterans is our very active discussion forum. Over 2000 registered users, with an average of about 100 posts per day. Please note that the discussion forum is made up of veterans just like you, they come to HadIt.com and its discussion forum from all over the world. Some come to ask questions, some come to help do research for other vets, some to answer questions, others come for the sense of community that HadIt.com provides and still others come just to provide an ear and shoulder to those veterans who have become weary.

There are some folks who for whatever reason sign on to discussion forums to cause disruption we discourage this by requiring a valid ISP email address when you register. However, we still have this problem the best advice is ignore them; they want a fight, a response, don't give it to them.

HadIt.com's discussion forum is "User Friendly" as long as posters do not cause division. We are not into censorship. We simply need to set forth some guidelines. These are aimed at maintaining harmony on the Web Forum. In the past we have only had a couple of incidents where someone was asked to leave the Discussion Group. When one person disrupts many then we feel it's time to take action.

No vulgar language

No offensive verbal assaults

No sexual connotations

Remember that most that come to our discussion forum have been wounded in one way or another. Be kind to each other, if angered take a day to respond. Personal attacks are not what we are about; we are about helping our brother and sister veterans.

We reserve the right to remove any posts or member at any time.

Time Dedicated to HadIt.com Veterans and my brothers and sisters: 65,700 - 109,500 Hours Over Thirty Years

I am writing my memoirs and would love it if you could help a shipmate out and look at it.

I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life.

The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans.

Morgan:

If you saw the post on the Board and it is missing than maybe but what usually happens is that some forget to do the final step when posting and its goes out into cyber space.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

I'm just trying to determine whether I violated guidelines. I hope not because I agree totally with all of them, and I deeply appreciate Hadit and want it to always be around to help veterans.

That said, one of my messages disappeared a few days ago, and I wasn't sure why. I reread the guidelines but couldn't see where I might have violated. I had posted my opinion about something (not sure now which topic) and pasted an excerpt of Steve Smithson's testimony before the disability commission to explain my opinion. I believe his testimony highlights the reason for a major part of the claims backlog, but it is covered over and diverted by incessant discussion of how the VA is underfunded, thus understaffed. My opinion was not favorable toward the VA so I thought it might have been deleted because of that.

When I first joined Hadit on the old board, members were free to, and often did, vent their frustration with the system, and those who were hurting and feeling dumped on would get encouragement and concern--and good advice. Now (IMHO) there seems to be less tolerance when someone vents about the ascinine decisions the VA gives. Some of the threads I read now are too close (for me) to the other veterans' help sites that have "in-your-face" attitude if someone says anything against the VA. I know this is not a bash-the-VA forum, but sometimes that's just what brings a veteran to Hadit...they've "had it." If they stick around they should, and often do, get genuine concern and good advice that calms them down and arms them for battle. Their feelings of disappointment or rage should be validated, then redirected for a more productive end. Again, just MHO.

Anyway, if I violated the guidelines, I sincerely apologize. I can't see where I did, but one of the moderators may have thought otherwise. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. B)

Morgan:

To my knowledge none of your posts have been deleted. Venting against the VA is still acceptable just not against Hadit Members.

Morgan, you didn’t do any thing wrong.

I can only guess that those who would attack Hadit members are trying to separate us. Veterans are already separated. The Veteran has his separation papers.

No Veteran is an idiot or stupid. Veterans make mistakes. Many Veterans are mentally ill, and the illness is magnified by a huge slow VA legalistic system. All Hadit members have helped me in one way or another. Hadit corrections and knowledge have helped in winning my claims.

Members of Hadit should feel annoyed by insults to Hadit member’s collective knowledge and demeanor. Who would even want to do such a thing and why?

Idiot (is recognized as an offensive word)

Excerpt from the 'Declaration of Independence'

We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity
