I have several issues that were remanded from BVA to AMC and I haven't contacted

anyone -- and I'm sure I should be following this up some.

carlie

Carlie,

The AMC will stick you file in a cabinet and loose the key and bring it out once each year.

I am happy that you are back on line.

Good Luck.

I would would follow up with a letter, not a phone call.

Iris inquiries seem to have limited information on the AMC. My service officer could not help me much either because the claim was at the AMC. He said that he would have to call the same number I call to get a status of my claim.

The AMC even has an address that is not listed by Mapquest, they use 1722 Eye Street NW, when actually it is " I " street.

These people do not want to be found.

Paul

Tank,

I would suggest calling the Director Russo's Secretary. Tell her that you need better information from someone than Ms. Dunalap and that you want to know why your claim is going no where.

Here goes.

Good Luck,

Let her know that you mean business.

I believe you will get some correct information this way.

It worked for me.

Always,

Josephine

My remand was sent to AMC Jan 07. Sept 07 I was told I was in overflow. Late Oct 07 was told I was in a ready to rate status. As of 11/27 sent to rating specialist. Please tell me that this is progress. I read Tank and Josephine's comment and it takes the wind out of your sails. I haven't had nor do I really have any additional info to send since appeal was remanded (other than C&P that was ordered, which seems to be more favorable than previous). Is there any way to REALLY find out what the wait times normally are at AMC?

Hello hurryupnwait,

I've been on appeal for over ten years. Five years through the AMC..

Been in ready to wait status since the last BVA remand for seventeen months now.

Remand is for RO rating specialist refusal to acknolledge three IMO's from Dr Bash, list them as evidence and provide a basis for excepting or rejecting evidence in the last two or three SOC's.
