HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted March 14, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 14, 2008 Usually between 50-70% but there are other factors to consider. Are you working? If you are working you will probably get the lower rating. If not working then you should file for TDIU with a GAF of 50.
carlie
Grasshopper, Here's the MH Schedule for rating disabilities. http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-....78&idno=38 I hope you have a whole lot more evidence besides just a gaf score. Do you have medical evidence of a Mental Health Diagnosis that provides a nexus, (link) to AD ? Hope this helps, carlie Carlie passed away in November 2015 she is missed. HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted March 14, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) 50% and not working should be 100% via TDIU. 50% and SSD should give you 100% TDIU. To many put to much stock in GAF in my opinion. After all its an assessment made often by someone in a hurry and usually not a Shrink. Its evidence that wins claims not GAF's or opinions by overworked staff at VA. Edited March 14, 2008 by Pete53 Typo Veterans deserve real choice for their health care. I just received a GAF of 40 and was denied out right and was disgraced and humiliated, I'm sure you wont have the same RO but they still play by the same rules....... HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted March 14, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 14, 2008 Nic: Good way to approach it and that is why Hadit is here. We are pro Veteran and except to point out how VA works we are on your side. Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
