So much good advice here, the GAF really carries little weight with the VA examiners, the best thing to do is concentrate on your medical evidence, make sure it is solid and your claim will advance on it'e own merit

Grasshopper,

Here's the MH Schedule for rating disabilities.

http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-....78&idno=38

I hope you have a whole lot more evidence besides just a gaf score.

Do you have medical evidence of a Mental Health Diagnosis that provides a

nexus, (link) to AD ?

Hope this helps,

carlie

I beleive I have evidence...this is what I have:

CAB/sworn statements from 6 other SM's as to a specific stressor

Line of Duty injury report (injured during indirect attack)

MSM that makes reference to 74 completed combat missions

Pysc eval from a VA shrink (gave me the 50 gaf)

My stress letter w/ documentation of 64 Indirect attacks on my site in 3 months

Do you think this is enough...I really don't know...thanks

Nic25, a quote from Dragnet " looks like it mam, but the just the facts" You never know those a pretty good facts, not to scare you but facts, facts, facts and you should do fine. I know how it feels and waiting is the worst part. I found my self worried sick sometimes, like some guy who just bought stock and watching it go up and down same way with me except I was watching this board every 5 second hoping for a idea I might have missed. Cut your self some slack you can't fix this over night but rest assure it will be right. Sometimes we get to the point we just want someone to believe us, a voice in a dark room. I'm sure they'll see the light...... Good luck brother...........Rich

They think if they deny and lie that you will go away. They have little to lose by these abuses. They pay no interest for wrong doing. No one gets fired, and most vets don't even appeal. Hang in there and you will win just like Betty. Most who hang in here at hadit do win their claims. It takes time.

Yoggie,

Believe me they will lie and they will do everything to break you

down. They will ignore your evidence.

It is a sick game to them.

You know that you have the evidence, You just have to keep pushing it

in their face and believe me, eventually someone will read it.

This is the advice of Carlie.

Stay on the site and post any time you are in doubt as to how to

tackle them next. Someone will have the answer for you.

Always,

Betty
