I just signed IAVA's open letter to the major news networks. As we mark the fifth anniversary of the war in Iraq, you might not be seeing much about it on TV. In February 2008, only 3% of the news was dedicated to Iraq.
I think that we need to keep the soldiers who are fighting and those who are facing battles when they get home in the public eye.
Time Dedicated to HadIt.com Veterans and my brothers and sisters: 65,700 - 109,500 Hours Over Thirty Years
I am writing my memoirs and would love it if you could help a shipmate out and look at it.
I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life.
The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans.

Dear Friend,

Make sure the media keeps Iraq and veterans in the news and sign the open letter at http://www.iava.org/tellthemedia.
Thanks!
