gdsnide
What about if you are getting service at home by a physical and occupational therapist because the va cannot provide these services to you were does that put a vet at? Windy City, Don't believe any have said I need specilized care but if they would require some Specialist I know an LPN that would do it. HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted May 6, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 6, 2008 If the VA can't provide care for sick vets then the Secretary of the VA should take a pay cut.

HadIt.com Elder rentalguy1 Posted May 6, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 6, 2008 Do you have to requst a&a at the R1 rate or does the va grant it to you? i would specifically request that rate, and add documentation showing that you are currently paying for a nurse (et. al.) to provide A&A in your home. The VA send me a letter to see if I wanted a meeting with a DRO, I spoke to my DAV rep. and he said to do it when I go to the meeting should I tell my rep. so when can request the rate or should I put in for it now? If possible, and you are not in dire straits for the money, then I would hold off on filing it until your appeal is resolved. If you file a new claim during an ongoing appeal, it can gum up the works.
